If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all The Black Bear Cabin is your spot. It’s warm honey-pine interior screamed welcome to the mountains. The cabin was comfortable, clean, well laid out, and had more than enough room for our two small families - four adults and three children (12, 8, and 7) and dog.
The cabin is open and bright, with sun flooding the main floor and loft.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals (but the knives, can opener, and corkscrew should be replaced). A designated place to put dry goods would be nice-to-have as the counters became cluttered. There are two small televisions and wifi, but the wifi is spotty and couldn’t handle all of our electronics (understandable given the location). The weather was cooler than we anticipated (we got a dusting of snow April 1st) but the pellet stove kept the cabin toasty warm. We brought board games and cards, which was good as there weren’t any. We had so much run relaxing inside by the fire playing an epic game of Monopoly.
Overall, The Black Bear was warm, cozy, and relaxing- everything we wanted in a vacation rental.
The whole process was easy! I recommend you book here. I know we will return.
