“My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. ”

“We choose between Tortuguero and Maquenque, and having been to lodges in Tortuguero before we choose the latter. Very satisfied, thought it was a completely different experience from the very touristy Tortuguero. The drive up is an adventure itself, bumping through a lovely rural part of the country that don't see much tourism. "This was a hotel worthy of the 4 star they claim. From Bryans excellence in the reception to Albertos service in the restaurant we have only good things to share. Food tasted great, and the prices was even better then a 3 star hotel we had just come from. There are alot of birds in the hotel that really gives the jungle vibe. They had also great tours. The Arenal volcano tour With Pedro was super! This place is great if you wish to be close to La fortuna and Arenal but outside the hectic tourism thats in the town. "
