Lovely autumn break
We stayed for a week at this lovely cosy (but really large) log cabin. The owner was so accommodating and quick to respond to a query I had prior to staying, and gave us lots of suggestions about the beautiful local area. The property was exceptionally clean and spacious, had everything we needed, was really warm after a day out hiking and was just so spacious for our family of five. The three bathrooms were much appreciated, it was nice to have a bath after being out in the Scottish weather all day. We found lots to do (mostly hikes) in the local area, many on Anna’s recommendation - Schiehallion (Munro), Birks of Aberfeldy, Faskally, Allean/Queen’s View, Killiekrankie, Ben Lawers. Also a lovely visit to the Pitlochry Dam and fish ladder visitor centre , dog friendly, and really interesting. We ate out at the Inn on the Tay, and Mains of Taymouth, both lovely, and got a takeaway from Chillies in Aberfeldy, also good. There’s no local shop as the campsite shop has shut for the season at the end of September, so it just means you need to be organised to save a trip to the Co-op in Aberfeldy/Pitlochry, not a problem at all. The area was really beautiful, somewhere we hadn’t explored before, and we would love to come back, and would love to stay in Anna’s lovely property again.

Sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus
Gemütlich eingerichtete und gut ausgestattete Lodge mit sehr schönen Wanderwegen in nächster Nähe. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit direkt am Ort.

Beautiful lodge
We all had a great stay at the lodge, it was beautiful and the location was very pretty. Internet is slow when trying to join work conferences and for the kids playing any games but other than that it’s perfect.

Deserves nothing less than 5☆
Just back from a lovely 3 night stay. We stayed in the lochside Lodge, it was more than we could have asked for. Spotlessly clean, well equipped with all top of range appliances very spacious with all ensuite rooms and the most stunning views of Loch, mountains and deers. Host Anna was very friendly and checked we were happy with everything . As a family of 5 we have stayed in many places but this is special one. We can't wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Peaceful seclusion
Beautiful spacious lodge, well equipped for families, absolutely stunning views and wildlife, fantastic hill walks literally on the doorstep, easy to locate the lodges and parking for 2+ vehicles what else can I say only good things. Loved it.

Quality family holiday spent in beautiful surroundings
A brilliant week away with our sons, daughter in laws, grandson and two dogs - sounds very hectic but the lodge provided enough space for us all to spend a wonderful week together.

There is no words to do this place and lodge justice. It’s the most beautiful location and the lodge is immaculate, beautiful and everything is thought of. We would highly recommend here (and have done so already) for some r and r in the most scenic surroundings and in the most amazing lodge.

Stunning Lodge
5 Stars - Fantastic Lodge set in a perfect tranquil location, to take in the stunning views and scenery. Best Lodge to date that we have stayed in, immaculate throughout. Easy access via car to Aberfeldy, Kenmore and surrounding areas for day trips. All the family had a great time and felt totally rested and relaxed., could have easily stayed longer. A Quiet Getaway
Cabin is lovely and has everything you need for a quiet weekend break. It was more out of the way than we thought but as we had our elderly parents with us we weren’t going out and about too much. Great for this purpose but if you are looking for more things on hand this is probably a bit isolated. Never the less I would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your review Fiona, yes other than the cafe at the caravan and deer park next door you definitely need a car to visit us but it’s only 10 minutes to Kenmore and Aberfeldy where there are lots of cafes and things to do. Aberfeldy particularly has lots of little shops worth strolling around. I’m glad you and your parents enjoyed your stay and we hope to have you back soon! Kind regards, Anna

A lovely area to stay
My friends and I enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was provided to us. The only thing that bothered me slightly was the poor internet speed, but given the area, that can’t really be helped. Fortunately I didn’t come alone to work in a peaceful environment and had friends with me. So internet usage was quite low.

Lovely lodge in Perthshire
We had a lovely stay in the Lochside Lodge during a very wet autumn week. The lodge itself is faultless really - very nicely laid out, great decor etc. Only observation is that, as a hater of 'the big light' being on in a room, the main living room and master bedroom are very lowly lit by the remaining lamps. Could do with something brighter. For dog walkers, it is not easy to do a short local walk as the site is surrounded by a deer farm. This wasn't a huge issue as there are lovely walks within a short drive at Aberfeldy (Birks of Aberfeldy) and Tummel village to name only two. Very restful week and would love to return to the site in better weather :)

If you bring your dogs back I’d be happy to point you in the direction of some more local walks. The nearest stomp is across from the park entry and goes around the opposite hillside. Beautiful lodge and location
A lovely lodge in a very peaceful location – in fact on of the best we have ever stayed in. A spacious living area with generous bedrooms meant that we never felt crowded despite there being seven of us (and the dog!). Particularly appreciated the small details such as individual thermostats in every room including the bathrooms, and proper instructions for all the various appliances. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to anyone. Many thanks to Anna whom we found very helpful too.

Fantastic stay
Beautiful cabin in an outstanding area . Walks from the door into the mountains. Cabin was really clean ,spacious and well stocked with everything you could need. Unfortunately we only had three nights but we would love to return.

Family holiday
We booked this holiday to celebrate my husbands birthday with his family and everything about it was perfect. Couldn't not fault the lodge it was perfectly equipped and spacious and clean.

Everything excellent, peace & tranquility, stunning location
Everything from start to finish was excellent. Loved the location of lodge on the park, and the parks location in Scotland. Booking process smooth with no issues, check in smooth, cleanliness tip top, response to any query was immediate and brilliant. Excellent standard of accommodation and high quality. Stunning views and scenery, we enjoyed watching the deer in the deer park opposite. Lovely local walk around Dun Coillich.

Secluded, quiet and luxurious
Beautiful find on Vrbo, four nights with two teens, two dobermans was stunning!! Dogs and teens wiped out from local walks in Aberfeldy and others, highly recommended place to stay was just tonic we needed following 18months of lockdown! Thank you Anna and Mike we all loved it!

Excellent
Excellent lodge for a family get away. Very good layout with all the bedrooms being separate and away from the living area with each bedroom having its own bath/shower room. Lots of facilities nearby in Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Loch Rannoch etc. Very quiet as most of the lodges appear to be privately owned and not weren't being used when we were there other than at the weekend. Excellent value and thoroughly recommended.

AMAZING
This place is AMAZING - you won't be disappointed. Very quiet location and this lodge definitely has the best position on the site. Huge decking area where you can watch the deer and birds etc. The lodge itself has everything you could possibly need. Comfy couches and beds and well equipped kitchen. The host, Anna, is very responsive to any questions. Would 100% stay here again. Thank you for our lovely 3 days (and we couldn't have picked a better week - weather wise)

Beautiful lodge
Thank you, Anna, we had a wonderful holiday! We are a family of 4 plus a dog (children aged 12 and 10). We travelled up from the South of England and made this the first half of our holiday in Scotland (currently now in Glencoe). The lodge is beautiful, so very spacious with three large bedrooms all with their own bathroom. Such beautiful finishing touches and very clean. Washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher all in the lodge. Couldn't locate cafetiere, potato peeler, garlic crusher, scissors, nor any decent small sharp knives. Kitchen loaded with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea, coffee etc. Plenty of storage space with large wardrobes and bedside tables. Missed the obligatory guest book, perhaps removed temporarily because of Covid? Check out at 9am was no mean feat and we did feel rushed! Communication with Anna was excellent, all enquiries and questions responded to fully and quickly. The site is extremely peaceful, often all you could hear were the birds and the ducks. Deer just over the other side of the loch. Beautiful walk behind the lodge into the deer wood and up into the mountains. We had a fantastic lunch at the Habitat café in Aberfeldy and a wonderful evening meal at the Ailean Chraggan hotel (calamari, mussels, steak...) The chocolatier in Grandtully was great, quite the visitor experience and we enjoyed delicious coffee and cakes there too. We visited Queens View, Loch Tay (Kenmore is a gorgeous little village to explore), Loch Rannoch, Loch Tummel, Linn of Tummel, House of Bruar (touristy, busy, expensive, wouldn't revisit), Blair Atholl, and Glen Lyon (amazing little tea room there and then the most picturesque drive from Bridge of Balgie to Killin via Ben Lawers Dam, absolutely stunning). Had booked canyoning but unfortunately was cancelled due to the heavy rainfall overnight. Otherwise, weather was fab, warm and dry. Aberfeldy a lovely little town with some great walks around. We had a wonderful week, peaceful and relaxing and filled with some lovely walks and scenery but also plenty of lazy mornings and late evenings enjoying the peace and tranquility from the verandah of the lodge.
