Parking is a little bit cumbersome as you have to drive to a separate elevated driveway and done a rocky path to a gate that you have to unlock yourself and close the car off with the gate. “I was disappointed by some of the staff who although knew well that we were tourists and did not reside in Chile, still went ahead and charged us government tax of about 90.00 USD. They then refused to reverse it and told us to go to customs at the airport and ask them to reverse it. The customs refused. There were some staff members that were nice and helpful in other ways but this tax issue made our experience so negative.”

“This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. “The staff was extremely helpful to fix the flat tyre of my car when we were victims of a gang just entering the city. Watch out when driving a rental and don’t stop when someone tells you to. They repaired my tyre beautifully and quickly. Perfect service throughout.”
