Casa Svea, this beautiful and spacious 4 bedroom villa with pool, located in Playacar phase 1, the most exclusive, tranquil and safe neighborhood in Playa del Carmen located right on the stunning Caribbean beach. Playacar phase one, where flowering gardens share spaces with ancient Mayan temples, is the ideal setting for this villa two short blocks from the beach.


The villa has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, flat screen TV with satellite channels, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and terrace with sea views, a privileged space to enjoy a delicious and refreshing margarita while watching sunset or moonrise over the sea

Casa Svea hit the spot! We traveled with our kids and grandkids and it was the perfect family vacation. Pool was great for the littles and the beach was so close. The house was so unique, we felt like we were in a Mexican palace/fortress. We took the main suite upstairs and couldn't hear our very noisy grandkids one level below. The local wildlife was an extra that we hadn't planned on and was a highlight of the trip. There is a family of Coati's across the street, javelina in the common spaces, agouti everywhere, and an adorable monkey couple that we watched roof hop.5th street is a nice walk and the taxi stand is just down the road for any destination. I highly recommend for a family group. The rooftop was a sunbathing/reading paradise. Easy management company too. Greeted us at the house for an orientation and they were always one text away. We have rented a dozen places in Playa and Svea was just right for this trip. When we come back with a group, we hope it is available.

Mixed emotions

I will keep this short and sweet. We arrive to the property to find out there is only AC IN THE BEDROOMS. if you want AC everywhere ask the right questions. Was told we could not flush toilet paper and to take it out to the trash and the washer machine was a front loader so was all mildewy.. called The host AND THEY WERE ON IT. given permission to flush paper responsibly and had someone the following morning to clean the washer. Unfortunately broke the seal. Property manager answered IMMEDIATELY and offered another property closer to the water with AC EVERYWHERE and a working washing machine. Packed up and moved there. Unfortunately took 10 minutes for hot water to come thru the lines and the tub and showers started backing up with water after 3 or 4 minutes so you stand in water.. Manager immediately sent someone to try to unclog it. Unsuccessful. Told them don't worry. We're leaving in 2 days. We'll deal with it.. both properties were beautiful, the property managers were responsive and willing to make things right... just gotta know that FASE 1 is older and things just might not work as well and ask the right questions ahead of time (AC, WASHING MACHINE, PLUMBING ISSUES) so you have all the info when renting.. other than that... its MEXICO. . ENJOY!!!!!

Home away from home

We were very comfortable in the home. We went during a time when there was rain every day. The near by beach was not much of a beach. But. Little ways there was a better beach. The 5th Ave was walking distance. Any communication was quick and effective. If you like a relaxing trip, this this the place to be.

All of us had a great time staying here. It was close to the downtown area and it felt safe having the gated entry being watched at all times. Great layout in the house with each bedroom having its own bathroom.

Family holiday at Casa Svea

Casa Svea was the perfect location for us to explore the area. Everything was as advertised- the only slight disappointment was that the hammocks were not delivered as promised. We had an amazing week.

The property was everything we desired for a home away from home. Claudia and Hortencia were phenomenal. They assisted us every step of the way and then some. Claudia felt like family throughout when we needed help while still provide information is with that exclusive experience we desired.

Beyond our expectations

Osmi the property manager was a joy to work with. Besides speaking English she was very quick to respond to any messages we sent her. Osmi also checked on us regularly to ask how things were going and helped us with places to go for dinners, spa’s and things to do The house is beautiful and spacious. Each bedroom has a bathroom with a 5 th bathroom on the main floor. Maid came in every three days to clean and wash linens and towels plus pool was regularly serviced and cleaned The property is located in a gated community with lots of security present. The amazing beach is only a a couple hundred meters away and beach chairs were provided with the property I own a high end 5 bedroom VRBO in Victoria Canada and stay in a lot of vacation home rentals. This gets a 5 star rating.

Wonderful stay at Playacar!

This home was perfect for us - every person/couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The shaded pool was on the small side but deep and was a great way to cool down in the afternoon after a day in town or at the beach. This property was very clean and the décor was simple and uncluttered. Plenty of room and seating in the common area. Short walk to the beach and to town. Would highly recommend this home. Thanks!!

the house is equipped with everything necessary. For me and my family was pefect, since it has 4 bedrooms and is very well distributed, the private pool next to the outside dining has a charcoal grill, we found a great please near to the house to buy arrachera meat, location also is good near just 10 minutes walking to downtown and the beach just one block, It is highly recommended to rent this house, we had a great time here! We will Come back for sure,

Beautiful home great location

Home is very spacious and In close walking distance to the beach and town. The new pool was a perfect addition and we enjoyed it daily. We had a couple of problems with an ac unit and the refrigerator but they were taken care of as well as could be expected. We will definitely come back!!
