Great stay at Casa Yolo

Casa YOLO was a great place to ring in the new year! My wife, three adult children, and their significant others fit very comfortably in this beautiful house. Stephanie and Lupita were excellent hosts. Their communication was very proactive, and they were friendly and accommodating. The highlight of the stay was the chef, Mercedes, who cooked us three wonderful dinners, a delicious breakfast, and killer frozen margaritas! And Stephanie and Lupita also arranged for three massage therapists to come to the house. Very decadent!I had only two issues with the house. First, to keep the Playacar neighborhood safe and secure, it is necessary to enter security check points each time we returned to the house, which could often have a long line of cars waiting to enter. Also, Google Maps' driving instructions to the house were incorrect which initially caused some frustration. The second issue was with the listing accuracy. We were drawn to the property by the beautiful pool and backyard. Unfortunately, the hot tub mechanicals were not working properly, so we needed Humberto to come over to turn on and off the hot tub each time we wanted to use it which was very inconvenient for him and us. The photos also showed a ping pong table which, in reality, was in disrepair. Otherwise the property is as beautiful as the photos show and we had an excellent visit.

A wonderful home with delightful staff

From the start, stay, and departure a truly enjoyable experience. Lupita & Stephanie are wonderful hosts. Carmen was an absolute treat and she keeps the home spotless. I would recommend the housekeeping services for sure. The home had a wonderful pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable, showers had hot water. We had absolutely zero issues during our stay. The one thing I would recommend is getting contacts for as many taxi drivers as possible. There are only certain companies allowed to enter the private community.

We really enjoyed our stay at casa YOLO. We got the cook and housekeeper and Mercedes the chef did an amazing job. The house is beautiful and clean. The beds are very comfy. Would love to stay here again 😊

Everything was great!

Had a great trip at Casa Yola!! House was beautiful, location good (about .75mile to beach), and communication was exceptional. Lupita the owner was always available and checked in multiple times to make sure things were going well. We had Merche the chef cook us dinner 4 nights and it was so delicious. She even bought extra groceries for our college kids during the day (Eggs, veggies, fruit, etc). She was truly a sweetheart. House keeper was great too and well worth the extra money. Thanks for a great experience!

Number 1 place to stay in Playacar

Awesome property, makes you feel like you’re all living like kings and queens! The location could not be more perfect and the staff and cooks and our property manager Aleck were incredible. We had a lot of guys out there to celebrate a bachelor party and relax and we couldn’t have had a more fun time. All of the weight of planning and cooking and cleaning while on vacation was taken care of for us, and we could wake up in peace and enjoy the city. They helped us arrange for a driver, excursions, and everything in between. Hands down the best place to stay in the city!

Incredible opportunity

Our experience at Casa Yolo was excellent. The accommodations are better than the photos. Aleck made everything so smooth. We had some hiccups with luggage and he went above and beyond to help us be comfortable while we waited for our baggage to arrive. The food is the best in playa del Carmen. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The house was kept immaculate - which was a huge endeavor for our group - 4 adults and 8 kids. Laundry was done daily and clean towels were well stocked. The neighborhood was easily located to great amenities. We look forward to coming back to this amazing place. Thank you to the casa yolo team for making our family vacation unforgettable.

The best stay ever!

My friends and I stayed here for my bachelorette trip and I can’t even put in words how great our stay was! The staff, the house, the aesthetics, the food, the accessibility…everything was absolutely amazing. As beautiful as the pics are online, they still don’t do this house any justice! It’s just WOW! I’ve stayed at a lot of vacation rental and this was by far my favorite. The master bedroom, the indoor/outdoor pool and backyard area, and the open living room were some of our favorite hangout spots. Aleck was the house manager and that man is incredible! It’s literally nothing he can’t do. He set up our meals, arranged our excursions/outings and transportation, got us anything we needed, help decorate the home before we arrived, he even was our photographer. The chef’s food is delicious! Everything was excellent and the guacamole was so good that we requested it every day! The housekeeper was awesome! The house was spotless everyday and she even washed and folded/hung up our clothes on a daily! They literally treated us like royalty during our stay. I could not have asked for a better stay for my bachelorette trip. I cannot wait to return with my family! I encourage everyone to book this property!

Best Vacation rental we have ever stayed in

We met our in laws and cousins here for a vacation. Our 5 teenagers loved it. The privacy of our own pool was nice. We made good use of the pool table too. The staff is amazing. So friendly and accommodating. I’ve never vacationed like this but I would do it again in a heartbeat. The food they prepared was so delicious. There are a couple of little restaurants nearby you can walk to if you want to eat out. Also an ice cream parlor. 5th ave was about a mile away. We loved having someone clean our rooms and do our laundry each day. It was very relaxing and I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

UNREAL STAY

The house is literally better than the pictures it is absolutely massively but what made our stay even better was the staff they are absolutely incredible and made the trip amazing they helped us with everything they got us car rides and we needed it at the best rates and gave us great recommendations we will 1000% be back just to see the stuff because they were that great thank you Aleck!!!!!

2nd stay just as memorable as the 1st

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing time at Casa Yolo for the second time in three years. The house was beautiful, clean, and impeccably well-maintained, as it was last time. However, the best part of this house continues to be the staff. Mercedes is a chef that could probably open up her own Michelin restaurant, caters to preferences and dietary needs expertly, and together with Maria the two are amazingly attentive and provide anything you need. The house is kept immaculately clean on a daily basis with Maria's detail-oriented efforts. Hugo, the chauffeur, is an extremely helpful driver and guide, and shuttled us around to various excursions and beach trips, always there when we needed him. Part of what you pay for at this place is the access to these three awesome staff members, and that promise was delivered on perfectly yet again. We hope to come back a third time!

This property is absolutely breathtaking and the experience is even better!

My family and I spent one week at Casa YOLO and we were throroughly spoiled. The staff is so very attentive to your needs and is available at all times to assist with any request. The caretaker of the property, Hugo was fantastic! He chauffeured us to and from the beach and 5th Avenue, arranged transportation to and from the airport, arranged excursions for us, and kept the home maintained in the interim. The housekeeper, Maria kept the home in pristine condition during our entire stay and also served as sous chef to Senora Meche, who is absolutely one of the finest chefs that I’ve ever had the pleasure of partaking in a meal from. Not only is there a menu to choose from, but she’ll prepare anything that you ask her to prepare. My boys are picky eaters and my wife and I were worried about how the difference in cuisine would impact them eating, but three weeks after our return, our children are still talking about Senora Meche’s cooking and already asking to return. More important than anything else, the staff makes you feel as if you’re at home and you’re truly able to relax. My wife and I usually need a vacation from our family vacation after tending to the needs of the children to ensure they have an enjoyable vacation. This is not one of those experiences. If you select this property, you’ll return home feeling refreshed and rested; exactly how one should feel when returning from vacation. With all the talk about the service, I’ve yet to discuss the accommodations. The home is breathtaking with high end finishes and superb decor. All the bedrooms are wonderfully appointed. The beds are comfortable, each bedroom has Netflix for entertainment, and there is a SONOS system throughout the home for musical entertainment. The pool and jacuzzi were great and the backyard was private and even had some green space. Safety was important to my family also and this property is within a double gated community. This was a great feature for our family as well. Also important to note, the owner is very responsive and displayed tremendous communication throughout the booking process. He even called to ensure our safe arrival! If your family is looking for a luxury vacation experience, this is the place for you. Trust me, you will be thrilled you chose this property. Fantastic Vacation Home

We just returned from a week stay at Casa Yolo. What a great house. We were two families with five kids, ages 11 through 18. The house had something for everyone to enjoy at all times, between lounging at the pool, playing on the pool table, playing ping pong or just relaxing inside. The staff is intent on making your stay perfect. Big thanks to Meche, our chef, for great meals each day. She was always wanting to make sure we would cook what we wanted and had plenty to eat. Big thanks to Julian, our driver, for taking us to golf, the beach, town or wherever we needed to go. The staff helped us arrange daily activities with their own suggestions and also giving us ideas based on comments from recent visitors. The staff also helped arrange massage therapists in the house for two days. I also want to thank Mr. Stephenson, the owner, for making himself available during our stay and in the weeks leading up to our trip. He had great "local" suggestions for things to do during the day and places to dine in Playa Del Carmen. We would easily stay here again on our next visit and would recommend Casa Yolo to anyone looking for a beautiful home offering all the amenities you could need for a relaxing vacation.

AMAZING home!!f

Yes, this house is very luxurious. There is a pool that is partially indoor, and has jets. So basically, you can get off the couch in the living room and walk into the pool. The four bedrooms all have their en suite bathrooms, so with two families and kids equaling 10 people, no one was cramped. But the very best part of the whole property is the staff. Mrs. Meche, the chef is truly a genius with traditional Mexican fare. We ate out a couple of times during our week stay, but no meal anywhere beat her cooking. I love to cook thus know my way around a kitchen, but this woman was truly awesome. The chauffeur, Jullian, is also a great guy. He was super helpful with any kind of information we needed about the area. We had a week of many different excursions, and no matter what time we had to be up and out, the staff were very accommodating. The staff usually get to the house around 8:30am, so when we had to leave early, Mrs. Meche left us fruit and pancakes the night before to eat early the next morning before we left. That was incredibly convenient so we didn't have to rush to track down breakfast for the crew. I wholeheartedly recommend this property for anyone interested in traveling to the Playa del Carmen area. This home is also located in a 3-tier security gated community called Playacar, so we never once felt unsafe. We were told a gated community was a must for foreign travelers. This property is priced at a premium, but the amenities make it worth it. If you actually do the math, going to restaurants for 3 meals a day or buying food at the local Sam's Club takes time and are very expensive to boot. If you factor that cost, the time it takes to shop, cook and clean, and compare it to a hotel where you would have to reserve 4 rooms, this isn't too far off. We had children between 6 and 22, and all of them had a great time. The most value for the money was the fact that both moms had a wonderful vacation. No cooking, cleaning, planning, or anything that everyday life requires. Everyone LOVED their time at Casa Yolo!

The perfect getaway

The perfect place for a truly great Mayan riviera experience . The house is wonderful but the staff is even better. Julian , Meche ,Maria and Lydia are absolutely brilliant . We were a family of 9 , they managed our experience so well. Meche ( chef) introduced us to some of the best Mexican food that we have ever had . Easily the best food in town . YOLO : you only live once !!!

Incredible, relaxing family stay

Casa Yolo far, FAR exceeded our expectations. The house itself is stunning, with all guest rooms luxuriously appointed, and the master suite being so palatial it seems like something out of a movie. The design of the house lends itself perfectly to a relaxed day of hanging out in the pool/hot tub, having drinks and beyond-delicious guacamole served to you, drifting inside and out through the pool doors leading the pool into your living room. The location is well-situated in a private community with plenty of security, and was quite close to the beach and downtown. Everything about the house left us stunned, but one thing stood out above the rest: THE STAFF. Meche, Maria, and Julián elevated the experience of our stay here by 1000%. Meche the cook, along with her assistant, prepared some of the best meals we've ever had in our lives - of ANY cuisine, in ANY place we've been! We chose a restaurant in the downtown area one night - it was fine by normal standards, but a complete letdown when compared to Meche's cooking. I could go on and on about her and Maria both, who not only prepared amazing meals but catered to our every need. Perhaps the best thing about them is they are very intuitive at "reading the room" and adjusting their service to match the guest's needs. In our case, an elderly family member of mine had limited mobility throughout the week, but the staff checked in constantly to make sure she was comfortable and well attended. They fine-tuned our meals due to diet restrictions and preferences, they regularly came around (not too much, not too little, just enough!) to ask if we needed more drinks or snacks, they stayed late when they needed to because of our schedule, they did EVERYTHING they could do to make our stay unforgettable and supremely relaxing. Julián, the driver and go-to guy for one-off questions and requests, is extremely helpful, fun, and informative. He took us to numerous little adventures we picked out, often with the help of his suggestions, and one day even drove us an hour out into the jungle for a cenotes excursion, and was waiting to pick us up when we finished. He too is excellent at "reading the room", joining in on ping-pong games when we asked him to, but also fading into the background when my group was clearly spending closer family time together. In short, this place is magical, especially for the reasonable price. We will be looking to come back next year!
