Det här är ett toppenhotell som tyvärr har gått från "bäst i världen" då det var familjeägt till "bara ok" efter att ha sålts till en stor kedja. Om de nya ägarna kan förstå att satsa på kundupplevelsen och den omtänksamhet och personlighet som fanns förr så kanske de kan hämta upp i omdöme.

Great location!
We really enjoyed our stay at Riviera del sol! The location was perfect and we could walk to everything we wanted see in playa del carmen. Friendly staff, great breakfast and a nice pool. A lovely little oasis in the middle of everything.

Ingen mat eller alkoholservering på hotellet vilket var skönt för oss, det gick bra att köpa med sej från restauranger och sitta på hotellet att äta.

Mysigt litet hotell
Vi hade en mycket trevlig vistelse på Rivera del sol. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rena rum och tillgång till öppet härligt uterum. Ej överdådig men vällagad och god frukost. Nära till havet och 5 avenyn där det mesta finns.

Familjärt hotell i stor turistort
Hotellet var familjärt, snyggt och rent. De hade avtal med två beachclubar, mkt bra eftersom publika stränder inte verkar finnas i PDC. Kan nog inte bo bättre i PDC om man inte vill bo på stora resort. PDC är en jätteturistort!

Vår vistelse var bra på detta ställe. Plus, nära stranden och till downtown. Minus, ganska lyhört och baren intill spelade hög musik.

Mysigt hotell med perfekt läge
Perfekt läge, rent hotell, mysiga allmänna utrymmen, god frukost och trevlig personal som var hjälpsamma med bl a taxibokning och kom med små överraskningar.

A great stay!
This is a very personal och genuine hotel. Very nice and well taken care of. We loved it! Everything is simple but really good. They have fresh pressed orange juice, grape juice and home made jam every morning. Great service as well. Very engaged in giving you a great stay and experience.

Nära till allt
Riviera Del Sol är mycket trvlig hotell nära till allt. Trevligare personal får man leta. Rekommenderarar varmt. Rent och rymligt. Är man extremt ljudkänslig skall man kanske bo längre bort från stranden.

Hôtel très bien situé, près de la 5ème avenue et de la plage de Playa Mamitas. Le personnel est très professionnel et aux petits soins. Les chambres sont typiques avec terrasses donnant sur la piscine et sur la végétation. Les matelas sont très confortables. Très bel hôtel, nous reviendrons.

The hotel was really nice. Rooms was large and clean. The courtyard with the pool in the middle was a small haven in the town. It was a really close walk to the beach and any other amenities. The only downside is the noise around the hotel: a beach club with loud music all day and a bar accross the road with loud music. The room was airconditionned so it was fine with doors closed though.

Very cute hotel definitely recommend for travelers that prefer simpler accommodations rather than larger resorts. Very convenient location to beach access, restaurants, and entertainment. Would definitely stay again.

With such an average high rating on Expedia, we were surprised to see how exactly rundown this property is. Our room, located on the ground floor, (even though we requested an even though we requested an upper level floor) was musty and aggravated my allergies overnight. Additionally, the matttresses were super hard. Interestingly, our room (number 107) was only accessible through a sliding door. This meant that you could not leave someone inside, if the other person wanted to go out, without either leaving the door unlocked so the person inside could exit in case of an emergency or locking the person in. There is a key entry from the outside and a bolt only from the inside. We had very little interaction with the staff. We arrived late in the evening about 10:30 PM and the check-in person was fine. Not super pleasant or welcoming, but just fine. The redeeming qualities of this property was that it is inexpensive, parking for us with late arrival was very easy, just one block off. We found our stay to be quiet, which is what we wanted.

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación, tiendas de conveniencia cercanas, farmacias, restaurantes, la playa y etc. En general tiene lo necesario para estancias cortas, el personal es muy atento. El único detalle es que las toallas estaban viejitas y la regadera no cerraba bien (goteaba).

The bathroom was with mold and very dirty. The location was difficult to locate. They have taxes that you need to pay once arriving in the hotel. Around the hotel there are various bars that have music that is very loud that didn’t allow us to sleep very well that last until 3am which is a long time with high volume of sound.
