A Cozy Haven by the Beach: A Review of Colleen's Charming Home
From the instant I connected with Colleen, a warm sense of hospitality enveloped me. Her prompt responses to my inquiries and the seamless booking process set the tone for a delightful stay. Nestled in a serene neighborhood, Colleen's home exudes comfort and charm from every corner. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the immaculate cleanliness of the house. Every room was meticulously prepared, inviting relaxation and tranquility. One of the highlights of Colleen's property is the fenced-in yard, providing a sense of privacy and security. The addition of a grill and firepit elevated the outdoor experience, offering the perfect setting for al fresco dining or cozy evenings under the stars. The proximity to the beach was another standout feature. Just a short stroll away, the sandy shores beckoned with promises of sun-soaked relaxation and refreshing dips in the ocean. Being able to easily access the beach added an extra layer of convenience and enjoyment to our stay. Our experience at Colleen's home was nothing short of exceptional. Property Manager/Owner was very helpful and accommodating. The location of the property was wonderful as it was so close to the beach and stores. The house was very clean and nicely appointed. The enclosed backyard was an added bonus. We will most certainly be back. Loved our stay.

Second Stay :)
This is the second time my daughter and I stayed at Captain's Cottage. Colleen is the best host by far! Her home is beautiful and she is quick to respond to any questions that we may have. We love her home. It is clean, within walking distance to the beach and very close to some amazing restaurants. The treats for us (and our pups) are a bonus. Just another example of how Colleen values/appreciates her guests. Thank you again for sharing your home with us. It won't be the last time. :)

Such a pretty yard- comfortable house.
The house was very clean and as described. It has an enclosed back yard with a concrete patio with table and chairs which was a very nice place to unwind from the day's activities. The outside shower is super. The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer were very to keep up on towels and rinse and dry bathing suits. The walk to the beach is 5mins at most. Priscilla Beach is a real local beach with many groups of friends that meet regularly. We were with local family and felt right at home. The water is clear- beach shoes are handy for the pebbles and stones. I love the area and we had a great visit.

Great little house so close to the beach.
The house is very clean and comfortable. Nice fenced backyard for the dog. The location is great if you don't mind a short walk to the beach (I did not mind the extra exercise). Colleen provides a lot of information about the area and is available to answer any questions. We will be back!

Cute place
Very cute and small. Quick response, nice quiet neighborhood. Kitchen has just about what you need too. Only 4 stars because it was cold and despite being told we could turn the heat to 72 every day some times multiple times a day it was turned down on us. And the having to pay for a visitor rule I didn’t like. All in all good place and nice host

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! Unfortunately this guest was not familiar with smart thermostats, we have sensors on the doors ( which we outlined in our access instructions email to all guests) that modify the temperature if doors are left open for an extended period of time as they were in this case regularly.

Nice for a quick stay
House was clean and close to the beach and downtown Plymouth. Only complaint was the smaller bedroom had a rickety bed. Also, just to clarify for other pet owners there is a $250. Pet fee for 1 dog. You will be charged an additional $75. per pet (total of $325. for 2 dogs). We appreciated the fenced it yard for our dogs though.

Fall Getaway
We stayed in Plymouth for a week in November and enjoyed every bit of our stay. Communication with the owner was easy and prompt, the property was beautiful. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our pups. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Plymouth Retreat
Colleen was easy to communicate with even before we booked our trip, as we had questions about bringing our dog. She was also available instantly as we arrived and had a minor issue with the door lock and we were in the home within minutes. The home was exactly as pictured and immaculate. Although we ate out while vacationing, the home had anything one would need to prepare meals while in Plymouth. Colleen provided excellent local restaurant recommendations as well. The home, including the sleep space, was comfortable and the shower was both hot and powerful. We were also grateful for a beautiful and cozy fenced in backyard, as was our dog. The location is ideal as it was a quick walk to the beach, a short drive to downtown Plymouth, and gave us easy access for a day driving out to Cape Cod. We hope to return someday!

Cozy and peaceful little home in a very nice neighborhood close to the beach.
I very much enjoyed my stay with my wife, two boys and our dog. The home was lovely and well maintained. Fenced in yard was nice to keep our pup safe and happy. Short walk to the beach not too bad and the basketball court across the street was a nice bonus. The beach itself was also lovely and not too crowded when we went in late August. Colleen was a great host and always available to quickly answer questions.

Beautiful house near the beach.
Our family had a great time staying at this house with our 2 dogs. The property owner left good tips of places to eat at the house. They left a bag of treats for to dogs and chocolate for the family which was so thoughtful. We loved our stay and would stay again if we are around the area.

Lovely house in a charming neighborhood
Highly recommend this beach cottage! A really charming neighborhood with lots of friendly folks. The beach is a short walk away, and the hosts provide a handy cart to wheel your beach stuff. Beach is beautiful...if you have a nature-loving kid, they could spend the entire day looking for crabs, shrimp, and other creatures in the low-tide pools. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with a lot of year-round residents. Conveniently located to shops and restaurants, and plenty of places deliver as well. We particularly enjoyed the leafy backyard and the outdoor shower. The house is all on one level, so good for kids and older adults. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Thanks for the great stay!

Beautiful Home/Great Location
My daughter and I enjoyed our mother/daughter long weekend getaway. Colleen's home was welcoming and very clean. All of her notes/information about the area were extremely helpful. We also appreciated the little extra surprise treats for our pups that joined us for the weekend! The fenced in backyard was perfect for them (and us) Just a quick walk to the beach and only a short drive to shop/dine in the Water Street area. There are so many AMAZING dining options to choose from. We did a lot in a very short time, due to the convenience to everything! So many places to see and enjoy! We will definitely be back! Perfect getaway, especially with dogs; beautiful dog-friendly beach
Our stay was perfect for me, my husband and our two dogs. The yard was fenced in, and the beach was a short walk away. The house was cute, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the area — Plymouth, Duxbury, Scituate in one direction, then Sagamore, Buzzards Bay, Bourne in the other direction. We enjoyed breakfast at the Blueberry Muffin in Pine Hill, and dinner at Tavern at the Wharf in Plymouth, and Aroma in Manomet. Went hiking with the dogs, too. Great area to explore.

Relaxing and peaceful getaway
I just completed a five-night stay at Captain's Cottage with my husband, brother, and two dogs and had such a great time. The home is exactly as pictured and very comfortable and well maintained. The backyard is full fenced in, which was perfect for our pups, and they had a blast chasing each other obsessively searching for squirrels as we relaxed around the patio table. The kitchen is fully equipped with two coffee makers (one coffee pot and a Keurig) as well as anything else you would need to make your stay comfortable, and there are multiple markets within a short drive. Priscilla Beach is just a five-minute walk away, which is amazing, and we really enjoyed our morning walks there with the dogs. Colleen is such an excellent host: extremely communicative and thoughtful (she even left welcome packets of dog treats for our pups), and she made the entire experience very smooth and seamless. We hope to visit again someday and would highly recommend this home as well as the surrounding area in Plymouth. Thanks, Colleen!

Amazing Stay
We celebrated my mother’s 50th birthday here and her beautiful home and close location to the beach was the perfect setting. Colleen was so responsive and helpful over the weekend. Another great stay at Priscilla Beach
This was our second year staying at Captain's Cottage and we had a wonderful time. The beach is so beautiful, and the location is perfectly convenient to take-out, food stores, etc. We like this house because it's both kid and pet friendly, and we all have fun. Clean, comfortable and great beach
For starters, the yard is cuter in person than in the listing photos. The home was clean, well equipped and the communication with Colleen was excellent. A rental with included linens and bath towels is so rare these days that it was a welcome treat to making vacation feel like vacation. We brought our own chairs,beach wagon and sand toys, but the rental did provide them (we weren't sure when packing if we would need them). The charcoal grill was great for meals and the keyless entry was really convenient as well. The private beach was great. The people we met were so friendly and inviting. The beach does have a large strip of rock so water shoes or sandals would definitely be a plus to pack along. The home was also a quick car ride to Plymouth center, the canal, and grocery stores and restaurants.

June Long Weekend
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at this property. The home is simply furnished and clean. Communication with the owners went smoothly. Since we stayed after a spell of unusually warm weather and had family members in their 80's with us, the owners were generous about making the AC available early.

Perfect cottage and neighborhood.
This cottage was as clean as promised and well appointed in every way. Collen was so very responsive and hospitable. It was handy for our day trip to Cape Cod and local golfing. We loved watching the sunrise from the beach. The backyard was private and had very nice patio furniture. The quiet neighborhood was amazingly friendly; we were greeted warmly by every person we passed during our daily walks. We would certainly rent this cottage again.

Wonderful beach getaway
We had never been to Plymouth, but we sure had a fabulous time! This house fit the main things we were looking for: pet-friendly, toddler-friendly (all on one-level, newly renovated), and short walking distance to the beach. The house is also very conveniently located to the supermarket, CVS, hardware store, and restaurants. The beach is beautiful - very big and great for walking, as is the neighborhood. Colleen was also very detailed in her emails, which was super helpful.

From the moment we arrived at Colleen’s cottage, we felt right at home. The house was immaculate and smelled freshly cleaned. Relaxing stay by the beach with everything you need!
We did an over 3 week stay at this beach house that is brand new and well appointed. The back yard is fenced in and a large space with fire pit, seating area and outdoor shower to use. We enjoyed walks on the beach almost everyday even with our stay being in the winter. Thermostat control and insulation in this beach house make year round stays very comfortable. The owners are very helpful and easy to communicate with. Pricing was great for the many amenities this home and the owners offer. Would highly recommend the Priscilla Beach neighborhood and especially this beach house. Thank you for a wonderfully beachy stay!!!

Amazing Gem of a Place!
My husband, Mom, and I stayed at this property for a week and we loved it. Colleen was incredibly easy to communicate with - from the beginning in which I first showed interest to check-out, she is super quick to respond to any questions or concerns you might have. The house was exactly as described - the pictures are 110% accurate to your experience. There were some basic essentials already provided (such as a roll of paper towels, trash bags, and some toilet paper) so we were able to be comfortable upon arrival. We went grocery shopping later and it felt like home. Colleen leaves some booklets to read through to give you information on the home, what to do upon check-in, what you can do in the area, and what to do upon check-out - definitely read these on day one! Very helpful. We felt incredibly comfortable. My one concern when booking was that the AC wouldn't be on (my Mom and I run hot), but Colleen made sure to let us know where the box fans were so we could have flowing air without having to turn on the AC (and also indicated we wouldn't need it in October MA weather). It was perfectly comfortable! The bathroom was roomier than I thought it'd be, too. We spent evenings in the living room together watching TV - cable and WiFi top notch! I already told Colleen we'd love to stay there again. Can't beat the price and location. We didn't go out to the beach, but if we had, it'd still be a comfortable place to come home to. Beautiful neighborhood, beach and home!
We were so excited to get away to the Cape, this home did not disappoint. The beach is an easy and super close walk even with all your gear and kids in tow. The neighborhood is friendly and steps from this home are million dollar mansions! We really enjoyed walking around in the evenings and enjoying the Plymouth night life too. Lots to do and plenty of relaxation to be had. The home offers great hospitality for guests and the owner is easy to communicate with! I definitely recommend highly this home and Colleen the owner for a fantastic stay! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

The location is fabulous beach and the downtown easily accessible . All new and spotlessly clean home. Easy check-in and out. Large gated yard with fire pit to use. Charming Beach Cottage in Lovely Neighborhood!
My husband and I live in San Diego and are former residents of Cape Cod. We selected this vacation rental because its location was both convenient for visiting old friends and for attending our granddaughter's graduation celebration in Bristol, CT. Colleen's beautifully appointed beach cottage far exceeded our expectations. Our friends and their children visited us at the cottage on our first night of a three-night stay. The home and pretty backyard offered plenty of space for the seven of us to visit and enjoy take out. Star of Siam Thai Restaurant did not disappoint, by the way. Their food is excellent. We took advantage of the fabulous weather and the cottage's short walk to the beautiful, peaceful, and private Priscilla Beach, where we enjoyed a (plastic) glass of wine at sunset. After walking our neighborhood, and those nearby, to marvel at the gorgeous homes, we appreciated the comfortable beds awaiting us. (We can attest both beds are comfortable, as one of us is a snorer.) :-D Owner Colleen's communication, from making the reservation to checking out, was so very courteous and helpful. Wonderful stay in Cape Cod! Soo close to the beach too!
My young family and I stayed at this home for a week. We enjoyed every minute of it! The backyard is fully fenced in and private so we never had to worry about our 3 children running around and playing. The walk to the beach was easy with all the required beach stuff and safe/ friendly surroundings. It was exactly what we were looking for and then some. Priced really well for how close to the beach it is and that everything is new! What a gem! Would LOVE to stay here again.

This property is completely new and gorgeous. The backyard is entirely fenced. The beds and linens are premium quality. The swivel 65inch LED Smart Tv was wonderful to watch movies on. The interior is very easy to navigate with no steps and feels spacious. The neighborhood is quiet and full of friendly people. We loved walking our dog around and meeting new people! The homeowner has great recommendations for area events and places to eat. She is quick getting back to you and easily explains things/answers questions. The driveway has plenty of parking. She is also highly knowledgeable on the area.

Beautiful home. Close to the beach with great hospitality.
We enjoyed a nice stay at Captain's Cottage ( what a cute name!). The house was very comfortable in the -5 degree cold snap that we experienced.It is a very comfortable size and felt bigger than the pictures. The owner is also very communicative. She provides easy detailed instructions on how to use everything. Also have useful referrals to attractions, stores and "great eats". We recommend renting here to family and friends!

Cute, Clean and Beachy!
We enjoyed a quiet stay. The house is clean, new and bright! The house is a short walk to Priscilla Beach. Recommend strongly to others and will stay here again.

Perfect for our 4 day stay in the Cape with friends
This very pretty home worked perfectly for a short stay by 3 couples who were visiting friends in nearby Sagamore Beach. The layout is large enough for 3 couples to comfortably relax. We loved the room darkening shades when we were hoping to sleep in and also provided privacy/light when you want to pull the top down. We made the easy walk to the beach a couple mornings to enjoy our coffee with the view. The owner was quick and responsive. The 6 of us highly recommend this VRBO.

Delightful New Beach house
Our family enjoyed a delightful week of vacation bliss in Plymouth, MA. The house was very accommodating for our group of 6 people. The fenced in yard and fire pit was great to use in the cooler time frame of our visit! The short walk to the beach was a nice perk and large lobster pot for a lobster boil. The close proximity to downtown Plymouth, grocery stores, restaurants and the train station to travel to Boston for a trip to the Wang Theater. The Priscilla Beach Theater is also a street over, easy walk. We highly recommend this rental, and would enjoy staying here, again!

BRAND NEW Beach house with EVERYTHING you need for a TERRIFIC TIME!!!!!
We had a fantastic stay at Colleen's Beach house. Everything is as advertised BRAND NEW!! Our holiday was perfect in this home. Close to everything in Plymouth. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Lots of space and high end touches in this home. The beds were comfortable. The linens were super comfy. The beach is a short walk from the house. The yard was awesome for our kids and dog as it is completely secure and fenced in. Plenty of parking. Chef's kitchen and worked well for cooking a large dinner for 6. Thanks Colleen for your attentiveness and making our stay so wonderful.
