Overall, our 2 families enjoyed our 3 night stay here. There were things that made our stay nice & we were able to overcome the things that weren’t so great. We enjoyed the lake area & rented a boat & had a blast that day, so the location is great for a quiet lake getaway.
Pros: the kitchen accommodated us well & was clean. The loft area was great for the kiddos. There was a nice supply of needed essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, ziplocs, aluminum foil & towels. The tv options including Netflix & YouTube were nice to have to keep the kids entertained while indoors. The bathrooms were clean. The location was quiet and secluded. Having a Keurig was great! And there was ample seating in the main living area.
Cons: the 2 main beds were extremely squeaky. The floors were more rustic than they appeared in pictures (our friends have a crawling baby & found them to be rough & not super clean). The grill outside was NOT clean. The hammock smelled musty & had mildew spots all over it. The washing machine smelled gross as well. The main issue of all was the crazy amount of spiders of all sizes & webs everywhere! We realize we booked a house in the trees, however, we were not anticipating the overload of huge webs all over the exterior of the house & around door frames & windows, just everywhere. There were some inside & 4 spiders that had to be killed when we first got there (2 right above the kids’ beds upstairs). There was a dead roach in the living room, but at least it was dead.
