“Cute dated property but the bed was absolutely terrible, the carpet in the room was very stained, the door to the hall let light in all night, bathroom fan and air conditioner were so loud that it was difficult to sleep if either of them were on. Lots of potential but looks like the owners have no desire to make any improvements or even repair things that are falling apart or broken.”

“Close to Confederation Trail and across the street from a local bakery and take out café. We enjoyed the elevated deck too. Lastly, it was a quiet and private room. The owner sent timely updates and made certain that we were comfortable and settled in - we felt welcomed even though all communication was via messages”

“Very good service, hotel condition and amenities. Rooms are sound proof but the big road will make some noises into the rooms facing it. We asked for another room due ro sounds from the road and even got an upgrade. Big thanks to the personel that help us with this.”

“This is an old hotel/motel type property that is in need of some upgrading. The room was dark and had broken dresser drawers. The bathroom seemed clean but needed a paint job to spruce it up. The front desk woman was friendly and efficient.”

“When I booked Dolen’s Inn and Suites I thought it was an Inn, not an old weathered motel with a blue metal roof. The pictures I saw were not of where we ended up. It was clean enough but certainly not what I thought we were getting. It worked for the night.”

“We loved our stay. It is such an elegant home with a nice connection to Canadian history. It was expertly updated and is extremely comfortable. Elizabeth and Glenn were consummate hosts, with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Parking is easy, location excellent. We traveled to Pictou for a concert at the DeCoste Centre (also amazing and within walking distance) and Seabank House was obviously the right choice because the performer also stayed there.
