Cantinho da Mikaela is an independent part of a house in a rural setting near the village of Ponta do Sol, recommended for hikers, sports enthusiasts and those who want to stay away from urban centres.

The accommodation has an area of approximately 45 m² and includes a bedroom with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm), a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower, a small living room, and a kitchen with dining table.

Outside, there is a spacious veranda with sun loungers and a table for outdoor dining. There is also a parking space for guests.

The accommodation is equipped with a fridge, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi (60 Mbps), TV with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The accommodation is located in a rural area 450 m above sea level and 6 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafés.

About 500 m away there is a restaurant and café, and 2 km away there is a supermarket.

Access from the main road to the accommodation is via 80 m of pathway with concrete paving and a small staircase to the upper floor of the house.

Ponta do Sol is located in the south-west part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurel forest for nature lovers.

For hikers and mountain bikers, there are recommended walking routes and mountain biking trails a few kilometres away, namely at Paul da Serra.

A car is recommended for this location.

Guests have access to the upper floor of the house and its respective balcony. The lower floor is reserved for the owner.

As this is a rural area, noise from dogs and other domestic animals in neighbouring properties may occur.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, with bed linen and towel changes.

The accommodation does not have air conditioning.

We strongly recommend that guests take out travel insurance that covers cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent the stay.

Due to the location and climate of the island, the presence of insects and lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. Please keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For those who are not comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

For people sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using insect repellent when travelling around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect identification data required by law.

In-person check-in is done by prior appointment. We wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; if this period is exceeded, it may be necessary to schedule a new time.

To resolve any issues promptly, please report any breakdowns or cleaning failures immediately. Communications made after check-out may no longer be checked or resolved.
