This is a house that reveals itself through atmosphere as much as design. Arranged across three levels, Villa Esmenaut accommodates up to six guests in a way that feels spacious, fluid and composed. The entrance floor is dedicated to rest, with three elegant bedrooms including a master suite with king bed and en suite bathroom, alongside two queen bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms open onto a shared balcony with sea and mountain views, while all three offer built-in closet space, blackout curtains and air conditioning. The bathrooms continue the villa’s polished design language, with walk-in showers throughout, underfloor heating in the upper floor bathrooms and a material palette that balances clean lines with warmth.

One level below, the house opens into its social heart. The living area, dining space and open kitchen are conceived as one continuous environment, framed by broad glazing and uninterrupted transitions to the terrace, garden and pool. It is a space designed not simply for gathering, but for living well together, with long breakfasts in natural light, easy afternoons between sun and shade, and evenings that begin outdoors before moving gently inside. The fully equipped kitchen, with central island, wine fridge, Nespresso coffee station and separate laundry room, supports that sense of ease without ever drawing attention away from the atmosphere of the home.

The lower floor introduces a more intimate rhythm. Here, a lounge cinema room with bar, full bathroom and tropical garden area creates a quieter retreat within the villa, ideal for slower evenings, shared films or time away from the sun. Throughout, the interiors remain calm and assured, with warm neutrals, stone-inspired finishes, wood, glass and subtle golden accents lending softness to the villa’s architectural clarity. The pool is gently heated year-round, maintaining a temperature between 25°C and 30°C.

The name itself carries a subtle historical resonance, recalling Jenin Esmenaut, the Flemish merchant associated with the early development of this part of Ponta do Sol. Please keep noise to a minimum between 22:00 and 08:00, out of respect for the surrounding environment.

5. Check-In & Check-Out
Kindly respect the scheduled check-in and check-out times to help ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience. Check-ins are welcomed until 22:00. For arrivals after this time, a €32 supplement for night-time coordination applies. This can be settled via the online check-in form or, if not completed in advance, on arrival.

6. Neighbour Awareness
Please remain mindful of the local community throughout your stay.

7. Furnishings and Amenities
All furnishings and amenities are provided for your enjoyment throughout the stay. Kindly ensure that no items are removed from the property.

8. Additional Guests or Visitors
Only guests included in the reservation are allowed on the premises.

9. Insects & Wildlife
This property is located on Madeira Island, known for its lush nature and subtropical climate. Depending on the season, occasional sightings of insects or small wildlife may occur. While regular pest control is in place, a fully insect-free environment cannot be guaranteed. We recommend keeping windows closed, storing food securely, and managing waste appropriately to help maintain comfort.

10. Tourist Tax
As part of local requirements, a tourist tax of €2 per person per night (up to 7 nights, for guests aged 13 and above) will be collected during check-in via the registration form. This contribution is forwarded directly to the municipality.
