So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). Check in was easy, staff were v friendly and accommodating despite looking after the restaurant too (special mention to Ashmi who waited on us a couple of times in the restaurant). Food is fab, especially the Sunday roast. We managed to get parking on each of the 3 days/nights we were there. The only thing to note is that the cleaners only do a “quick once over” in your rooms every morning. Fab stay and will definitely stay again and recommend. Location is perfect. We walked from there to Old Harry’s Rocks. Visited Worbarrow Bay, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and a vineyard all within a short driving distance. Enjoy!

Nice place
Beautiful room and lovely food (especially breakfast!) but I was woken at 3am by someone moving furniture around in the bar area/restaurant so not the best nights sleep. I guess it was bad luck for me as I was right above the area where this was going on for an hour so will try another room next time.

Lovely weekend away
We stayed in Room 1 which was delightful. The staff had thought of pretty much everything. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ate in the pub and had an excellent roast meal. The location was great for exploring the coast on foot.

Most satisfactory.
Bed very comfortable. Had a good night sleep. Breakfast was excellent. Bar area very pleasant. Enjoyed the cocktails. Good variety of snacks and drinks in the room. The bill was incorrect but was rectified.would happily stay again.

Great hotel and surroundings.
It was a very clean and very well maintained hotel, great decor and furnishings and food and drink offerings very good also. Lovely location, friendly and chatty staff and they went over and above to accommodate my stay.

Amazing stay
Such an amazing stay at Canford. I stayed in Room no.1 which was absolutely gorgeous - I’d 100% recommend. Lunch was great, breakfast was great. Staff were helpful and the pub had a really nice atmosphere - perfect for my needs which were to be able to do some work whilst holding a conversation with a few drinks 10/10 🎺

Amazing hotel.
This is an amazing hotel. We booked a standard double room and it was really nicely decorated with a decent sized bathroom and well stocked mini bar. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful and the food was very good. The outside area of the hotel was nice with different areas to sit away from the cold.

Excellent
The hotel was gorgeous. The location was very close to the beach. The food was great and the staff excellent. The room was stunning. Only slight negative was the small car park but the beer garden made up for it!

Gorgeous dog friendly hotel
Had a brilliant stay at the Canford in one of their dog friendly rooms. Gorgeous hotel, great location and everyone was so lovely. The room was huge and decorated so beautifully, the food was great and I can't fault it. Extra points for being so lovely to our cocker spaniel who had a great time! :)

5 star comfortable rooms
I thought it was lovely. I stay regularly in London in 5 star hotels. his is a small 11 bedroom part of a pub / diner and the two rooms I booked were both lovely. I honestly don't have anything negative to say. They were big comfortable rooms with nice furnishings, comfy beds, air conditioning, and an amazingly well stocked mini bar too!

Loved it, great hotel and fantastic location
Loved it, great hotel and a fantastic location. We had a voucher to stay at the Pig Hotel in studland and were looking for another hotel to add to the trip to make a full weekend of it, we are very very happy we found this place. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel had a great bar area which fortunately showed the Six Nations. Lots of lovely walks with great access to the beach a short walk from the hotel. The bedroom was very nice, great shower and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in at any of the hotels I’ve stayed at. Food was really good too. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Excellent stay at this lovely hotel
Loved our stay at The Canford. The room was spacious and well presented with lots of excellent touches. We ate their in the evening and for breakfast and the food was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful so would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

Strange times
Things are obviously a little different at the moment but on the whole we enjoyed our stay. Staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent. We did have an issue with the tap controls in our bathroom and and the plug mechanism in the bath didn't work. Hard to get an optimum bath temperature. Shame that the bar area seemed to be booked both evenings by locals so we were unable as residents to actually use the hotel bar. Maybe a few tables should be held back as there was nowhere else within walking distance to have a drink.

Nice room, great breakfast. Two stairs up to our room but wasn't too bad. We didn't like the pub bit where you had to order via the app, but there was a pub one street away which was really nice. Three minute walk to the beach down a steep hill - but more than worth it for how quick you're at the beach. Would book again
