Alex's Place is a 2nd floor villa with an amazing view from the unit patio of the ocean. Walk thru this luxurious unit and go wow! It has everything a vacationer will come to expect in a home away from home. Full size refrigerator, 4 burner electric stove, microwave, small appliances, king size bed and sleeper sofa. Comfortably accommodated a family of 4. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to parish capital Port Antonio, Shan Shy beach with white sand, Somerset Falls, great restaurants and rafting on the famous Rio Grande River. The tranquility of the surroundings makes this place a good choice for persons wanting to relax, meditate and get away from a busy life. Beautiful gardens of exotic tropical plants, relaxing hammocks, outdoor shower, outdoor cooking/dining and outdoor seating.

We host from the property so we are always available to our guests for recommendations and free Jamaican cooking lessons, especially our signature ackee and saltfish. We grow our own ackees in abundance among several other tropical fruits, like soursop, june plum, bread fruit, guinep, custard apple, coconuts, mangoes, bananas, plantains just to name a few. The eco friendly person will be in heaven with the naturalness of our property. My family has owned this property since 1938 and the untouched naturalness is still our best asset. Loads of very old fruit trees and vegetation provide organic produce to share with our guests.

We go the extra mile to ensure our guests safety with fencing around the entire property, outside securty lights and cameras. Located at a dead end with an electronic gate for entrance.

We offer arranged transportation for or guests but for the local experience it is a short walk to the main road where a taxi going either direction can be had. For the walking enthusiasts it's only 4 miles to Port Antonio, 4.5 miles to Somerset Falls, 3 miles to Shan Shy Beach and 1 mile to Rafters Rest.
