Sea Sparkle: Sunny Village Cottage med konststudio och panoramautsikt över havet

Panoramautsikt över saltvatten från alla rum i detta lilla hem med två sovrum på en slingrande hamnväg. Dessutom en bifogad konstnär skjul.
Tidigare hem för Gertrude Cook har hennes kökarbetsområde bevarats i takt inklusive stänkmålad linoleumgolv.
Aromen från många en paj svevde från Gertrudes ugn över viken där hennes son, Blaine, opererade en hummer som köper en kaj. Hennes vinden har byggts in i ett idylliskt drottningssovrum, nytt badrum och anslutande studio med havsutsikt. Nedervåningen finns ett mysigt sovrum utanför vardagsrummet, med full storlek säng, skrivbord, byrå och garderob. Bottenvåningen har klinkergolv och en spännande regnbågsdusch. Koppla av med vänner i vardagsrummet och köket i gårdsstil som gränsar till solsken och värmande atmosfär. Vägg-TV i vardagsrummet för tider när du inte är ute och går denna strandväg till byn, om en 7-minuters promenad eller skissar vid de arbetande hummerkaverna några minuter i den andra riktningen.

Som en del av vår hyresapplikation ber vi om två referenser från tidigare hyresbolag / agenter / husägare etc.

Långtidshyresgäster i vår lågsäsong, som är från 1 oktober till 31 maj, ansvarar för att betala alla verktyg utöver deras hyresbelopp. Vi kräver också bakgrundskontroll och referenser för alla långtidsgäster.

We’ll return to Port Clyde, a little gem of the St. George Peninsula, and we especially look forward to regular visits to the Drift Inn Beach and the Hedgerow Market and Gallery. While we enjoyed our stay at the Sea Sparkle cottage, there are a few aspects worth sharing for those looking to book this property.—The heart of the house is the kitchen, with a large picture window that leaves lodgers fully exposed to pedestrians and drivers, at all times. Food and drink are not allowed in the living area, but there is ample seating outside.—Advertised as ‘sleeps 4’, the property seems best suited for a single person or a couple. The main bedroom is an open loft whose ensuite bathroom lacks the privacy of a door. There is a limited allotment of linens and glassware, e.g., exactly 4 towel sets, 4 water glasses, and 4 wine glasses. The host does not offer additional bedding or supplies. Also, although ‘pet-friendly,’ pets are forbidden on the furniture and must remain on leash outside.—Finally, check-out is made hectic by the requirement that towels and sheets be washed, dishes done and put away, stove and fridge cleaned, and floors swept and vacuumed—by 10am, no exception.

Great house. We had a very comfortable stay. The home is really well decorated. Comfy, quality linens. Gorgeous view to enjoy from most rooms in the house. Convenient walk into town. The host was very helpful and had information well laid out for us so we never had questions. We love Port Clyde and will definitely return.

Sea Sparkle was lovely, well maintained and a beautiful property. Last year we stayed at a nearby property with the same owner and same manager and also had a similar great experience. The LL Bean linens, towels and rugs were superior. The weather was warm this trip so the three high quality fans that were provided with the house were much appreciated. The large picture windows in the kitchen and the primary bedroom were gorgeous and faced the water. This time we stayed for two weeks and enjoyed the beautiful views and the nearby walkable village of Port Clyde with its General Store, Squid Ink Coffee, The Red Barn, The Dip Net, Monhegan Boat Line and Village Ice Cream. The Marshall Point Lighthouse was also a short drive away.

Amazing Views

Beautiful location, walk to wharf to buy lobsters and many birds (ospreys, eagles, kingfishers and many others). You can watch the lobster boats come in. Kitchen was well equipped. Upstairs bedroom is gorgeous. Only downside were the beds were sagging. Easy check in!!

I work a lot of hours for work and was looking for a very relaxing vacation, and this hit the spot. It was very comfortable for relaxing with a great view. Family members visited on Sunday and Monday. Great visits.

Maine Thanksgiving adventure

The house is very quaint. Generally the home was clean, updated and decorated nicely. Unfortunately the kitchen area could use an upgrade. The pots and pans were barely usable. Very scratched and unclean on the inside. It was surprising to not see a dish washer. Additionally the water pump broke down in the middle of the stay which also caused an issue with the electric. We were without water and had partial electric for one evening. The management Co offered to relocate us but we picked this location because my family had rented the house next door. I suppose the chance you take when renting an older home. They were quick to make the repair which we appreciate but it did cause an inconvenience for the next day regarding showers etc. Generally though this was our third trip to Maine. It is a beautiful State and the area we were in was very nice. We will definately return.

Beautiful October week in Port Clyde

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the cottage. The house was so clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. There is very little traffic on the road and the view of sunrises and sunsets was amazing. We enjoyed the quiet. If you like stargazing, the outdoor seating is perfect for taking in the Milky Way. It is easy to walk to town for a meal or supplies. Nearby are many hiking trails and other places to visit. I would go again.

We had a great time this week. The views from the house were spectacular - the road was quiet and peaceful. The house was a pleasant mix of old and new with vintage and original furnishings mixed with new conveniences. Comfortable furniture and arranged to afford the best views. Beautiful Retreat

My daughter and I literally cried because we had to leave. We extended our already booked 2 week stay to 3. I knew when we arrived we’d want more time there. Veronika is on her game. They provide all that you need for your stay including linens, toilet paper, paper towels, soaps and kitchen items. The kitchen decor brought back so many childhood memories. The house is situated on a gorgeous inlet. Herons, and eagles were frequently spotted there. There’s a walkable beach where every day a herd of seals feed and play. You can watch the active harbor with the lobstermen coming and going and appreciate the long hours they put in. Amazing all around.

Sea Sparkle Cottage SPARKLED!

We had an absolutely amazing time stargazing, beach-going, and lobster-eating. The cottage is charming and very well-appointed. It is quintessential Mid-Coast Maine. Perfect! We will rent this cozy home again.

One of our favorite spots

The views from this spot are breathtaking, it never gets old. The home was comfortable and appreciated the supplies on hand; soaps, seasonings, paper towels etc. helps to eliminate too much to pack. The neighborhood is quiet and a great place to walk and close to downtown port Clyde. We appreciated the excellent communication with the property manager as well.

Another Peaceful Getaway in PC

This is our third time staying in Port Clyde. It's a small quaint, peaceful community. I love walking to the general store and taking in the beautiful views. The rental was super cute and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay while still having a vintage, old fashioned decorative items from days past.
