Unrepresentative Listing with Poor Communication - will not ever return to this listing
This was a long-planned trip to visit family (great grandmother & her daughter, who is our 65yo aunt). It was 3 couples (father, mother, son &his wife, daughter and her husband - and 3 children under). We come to Nova Scotia 1x / year to visit &look very much forward to it.
We were fairly disgusted upon arrival as some things we noticed at the house were not representative of reality. First, the house was pictured with beautiful rocking chairs on the rear porch. These were locked up in the basement and we waited around for the property manager one day (several days after arriving) to bring them up from the locked basement. The second thing that frustrated us was how there was nothing featured on the listing showing that water was limited (1 load of clothes every other day / quick showers / etc.). The house was not overly clean (dirt under couches and on rugs). The dishwasher was not even mounted to the counter, so that every time we opened it, the whole piece nearly came crashing down on us.
Finally, what frustrated us most of all was the "all but" threat that we were told we could not have any "parties" or "events" at the house because our grandmother / aunt came to visit each day. They never stayed the night at all. This had to be "settled" by the property manager coming over to "talk" with us and work this out. This was an added and unnecessary stress that we did not deserve. We abided by all the rules and occupancy requirements at all times. Horrible experience.
