This was a great apartment, perfect for two people. It was very clean and well equipped. We had breakfast every morning in the apartment, but all other meals at restaurants. The location was phenomenal as everything we needed was within walking distance. The town was a five minute walk and the Douro River was within 15-20 minutes. Lovely restaurants and little souvenir shops could be found by the water. We also crossed the bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia where we watched the sunset. Again, all within walking distance. We did one excursion, to the Douro Valley for wine tours and had lunch and dinner - I would definitely recommend it. Our host was excellent, I can tell why Jeronimo is considered a Premier host. He communicated daily and answered all our questions. When we had a water issue (no water one morning) he was quick to respond to us and had us with water again in 5 minutes (some workers had forgot to turn the water back on, so it was just a flip of the switch). Leo let us into the apartment, and was very helpful getting us all set up. I would definitely recommend staying here.
