If you prefer quieter smaller towns, there are plenty to choose from, such as Cortona, Monte San Savino, Gargonza, Lucignano, Castiglion Fiorentino - all close by. Cesare and family were amazing hosts and provided a warm welcome and plenty of suggestions of places to visit. They also produce some amazing wine, which you have to try when you stay....
