Tides, Uig, Isle of Skye

Tides is a wonderful new property who's boundary is the high tide line in Uig. The views out over Uig Bay extend to the Ascrib Islands and the east side of the Waternish peninsula.
The water facing side of the property has been built to take in the delightful views which come with an array of wildlife. Don't be surprised if you see seals from the decking/ living room.
There are also a multitude of wading birds that wonder round the high tide line.
Whilst being in Uig, the property has been designed with privacy and tranquility in mind., so you get the benefits of being in a village, walking distance to pubs, restaurants etc, and your own personal space.
The garden is fully enclosed.
The property is also a 2 minute walk from the Uig ferry terminal.
No pets.

We had a wonderful stay at Tides Uig. The pictures do not capture how beautiful the view is from the home. We also loved the daily visits from the local sheep. The space was perfect for multigenerational group. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We also appreciated that basic supplies that were provided. The location was perfect with just a short drive to many locations on Skye, but away from the business of Portree. We had a wonderful dinner at the Uig Inn and two locations within walking distance for breakfast and lunch. We wished we had planned more time at Tides!

Tides was an amazing property for our Isle of Skye visit. Between watching the weather roll in and out, the views across the bay, the sunsets and the rainbows, this location was excellent. We utilized the kitchen a lot, between cooking every breakfast and dinner there, and enjoyed the experience, although a knife sharpener would be a great addition to the well stocked kitchen. Having two ensuites and an additional bathroom (one for each bedroom essentially) was perfect for our group. And the clothes washer & dryer was a greatly needed bonus on our two week holiday. Would highly recommend the Tides for a quiet, tranquil experience.

Great House Gorgeous Views

This house is fantastic. Our favorite property in our month long UK adventure. The house was very clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. All the appliances worked and the kitchen was spacious and modern. The location in Uig was perfect. Close to the major sights we wanted to see. Skye roads can be challenging and we were so glad this property was easily accessible. Our favorite thing about this house were the spectacular views! We lived our stay here!

Magical home in the Isle of Skye

Tides was beautiful, spacious, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location was fabulous within driving distance of the magnificent scenery and hiking and right on the water’s edge where we could hear the waves. One of our favorite places to stay of all time!

October Holiday

Our stay at Tides was very relaxing. Uig is not far from other towns but felt like we were secluded enough from the busier locations. We loved it! My niece and I loved sitting by the big windows, looking for Seals. Being that it was October, we didn’t spot many from the living room but we saw one. One evening we walked to a cute nearby hotel and had a few apéritifs. We would definitely go back if we were ever in Isle of Sky again!

Far and away the most beautiful place (inside and out) of our Scotland adventure. The decor is as phenomenal as the scenery. Fantastic accommodation rain or shine

We had a lovely stay at The Tides in Skye over the last week. We arrived in the dark a bit later than we had expected and we really could not see much about the location of the property. The spacious and well appointed bedrooms were a welcome place to rest for the night. When we awoke the first morning to see a large ferry gliding silently by in the bay, the beauty of the place took our breath away. Unfortunately, a heavy storm prevented us from exploring many of the Skye’s treasures, but we had a lovely place to watch the storm pass with a fire in the fireplace. We look forward to returning.

Great stay in Uig

The house and its views of the bay are beautiful! Surprisingly large bedrooms by European standards with bathrooms for each bedroom. Modern and warm. Kitchen has everything you'd need and more if you are making meals (which you may be because finding dinner reservations during our trip was impossible).

Lovely!

Beautiful home, beautiful view. Uig is way up on Isle of Skye, but nicely located for visits to gorgeous Quiraing (our favorite site on Skye) and a hike up Old Man of Storr (go early or late as it gets crowded). Best dinner of our trip was at Uig Hotel, a quick drive away. Small grocery nearby has adequate supplies. Great to be able to do laundry, and loved not having to share bathrooms--nice showers! I-pad instructions were helpful on operating appliances. Hope rest of neighborhood will upgrade like Tides..but definitely felt safe.

Beautiful water front property

The highlight of our Scotland accommodation. Sitting directly on the water in the bay, slightly down from the pier, a stunning Uig location. The property inside was brand new. Very modern and tastefully decorated. Three bedrooms (4 beds) with three bathrooms, our family of four had plenty of room. We made cooked breakfast daily and had more equipment than we needed. The washer and dryer were well used. We were visited daily by sheep in the garden. We spent most of our time at the house looking out the windows at the glorious bay view.

We had some trouble finding the place as it was dark. We were able to contact someone who gave us good directions, thank goodness. We also had no heat as something was wrong with the computer control. This was resolved the next day and we had a wonderful stay!

Lovely house right at the Uig port.

Very nice, very modern accommodations. Huge kitchen, just be careful the smoke detector is right above the stove top, so use the fans! Big bathtub under a huge window overlooking the inlet. Very modern and nice showers. Laundry was nice too after a week traveling through Scotland. Beds were large and comfortable. Fireplace worked great md was very very efficient, using a small number of tiny logs but added wonderful ambiance to the room. Lots of windows which can be nice if it rains or the sun comes out.

Perfect Base for Exploring Skye

What a stunning home with the most tranquil views. Whether it was sunny or raining, the sights of the sea, the green cliffs, and the frequent rainbows were a constant backdrop during our time in Skye. The home was sparkling clean, and our extended family all fit very comfortably.
