Cool hotel in outskirts of Portsmouth
Modern and cool hotel. Fresch and healthy restaurant. Was missing a mini bar in the room. Unfortunately in the outskirts of Portsmouth so car is needed to get into town and to tourist attractions.

Långsam placering vid frukost
Enkel in checkning med möjlighet att göra det själv! Frukost!!! Uråldrigt med pappers listor, där fick man vänta på genomgång i listor, lyssna på vad de frågar de som är före t.ex. efternamn rum förnamn, försökte vara effektiv och uppge samma som de före ”efternamn”! Detta ville de inte ha då, förnamn gällde det då och bläddra i listor. 15 minuters väntan en morgon, gav upp en annan dag och valde starbucks istället. Mycket ineffektivt och uråldrigt mot resten av hotellet!!!

Lauren at the reception was efficient and friendly. Although we booked last minute hotel managed to give adjacent rooms and even better was 1 of the rooms was wheelchair accessible which was very helpful as my son is a wheelchair user. Great pool and sauna

Was clean and tidy, decent staff. Rooms nothing special and restaurant expensive for what you got. Apparently the chef can’t add bacon to a burger as he’s a bit ‘stuck in his ways, and unapproachable’ ….

Disappointed.
Myself and my dad have now stayed here while visiting the QA hospital. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff helpful. It has a good combination of quick independent service and having a friendly face to help those who might need it. I utilised the Club rooms which meant I had access to the health facilities and classes. Unfortunately one of the classes I wanted wasn't available, I had enquired a few days before but didn't receive a reply. My biggest problem, and what actually spoilt the stay was the excessively loud music and PA system used by the outside 'pod' at 8am. It woke me up on the 5th floor with my windows closed. The class instructor was so loud I could hear the instructions over the music, at 8am-on the 5th floor! I booked to stay because I really needed sleep and this was an awful way to start my day. I later used the same outside pod for a class and there is absolutely no need to have such a loud system in such a small space especially at that time in the morning. If I had booked a hotel in the city above a bar or club it would understandable. I have now used the pool and facilities (sauna etc) twice and wonder if it might be better to have a cap or booking system to limit the number of users in that space as it's very, very busy. Or even a traffic light system to warn guests how many people are currently in that area so you could avoid the up and down journey to the changing rooms if over populated.

Over all good
Stay was very good but we stayed on the 3rd floor and the gym on 1st floor plays the music so loud that you can hear it on the 3rd floor at 8am in the morning i feel sorry for people on the 2nd floor music should not be on that loud till about 11am

I stay in the village hotels on numerous occasions, and normally find them fine. I did try and get my room serviced on 3 occasions, but it was never done even though the card was on the door, I did get an apology from the help site. It also seems that they've stopped their premium sky tv services in the rooms, I did enjoy watching the F1 or Golf channel but they and others are no longer showing.

We had a great time in a clean well run hotel with convenient parking and location. The room was very small. All the rooms are the same size. It is so small one of us had to sit on the bed while the other unpacked. This will be our debate before booking again 😏

Wow I have never complained before but this is just awful - this stay had not been idea to set up for a busy work day! Bed looked clean until turned down sheets and small hairs over it!!!!!! Not pleasant- once those were delt with I thought it would be fine! Only the room is like a sound box- I could hear the people either side in the shower, people above walking around (like fairy elephants) and and then the road noise and car park noise from outside - I was on the 3rd floor! Then at 6:30am or so I had the delights of the spin class blaring out from outside- it woke me up with a shock as if I was in a night club - base banging ‼️ do not stay if you want to sleep!!!!

My first night of my stay was pretty bad,i had a 9.5hr drive from Ayrshire to Portsmouth i got there ready for a sleep but i was woken up buy a drunker sailor aront 1am binging on his door shouting Larry at the top of his lungs like Joe from impractical joker's, but other than that i had a enjoyable stay.

Poor visit this time. Potentially my last
Unfortunately I had a few issues during this stay that made the visit potentially my last. Arriving in my room the window was wide open so the room was very cold. Thia was compounded by not being able to change the temperature so it didn't warm up. Come 6am music was turned on and up which woke me with a start. The food, wasn't the best I've had here. I nearly broke my teeth on the chicken wings, which were more quail-sized than chicken. Overall, not the best of stays

Staff lovely but room dreadful . Club room one very small window in toilet was the only light . I have stopped at several village hotels such as Swansea , Wirral both of which lovely . Portsmouth not up to the normal standard and should be classed the same as Premier Inn hub.

Rooms are compact but very attractive. Suited for overnight or as a base to explore the local area. The bed was very comfortable and had all the extras, ironing board etc that more costly rooms are fitted with. The restaurant has giant sports tv around the room so a large number of male sports fans were watching, possibly guests but the facilities - pool, gym, hot tub had a large number of users judging by the car park and people in sports gear. The bar is well stocked and the restaurant menu sufficient to meet most tastes at very reasonable cost. A fantastic facility for this part of Portsmouth. I’d definitely stay again.

Great location for Portsmouth Cruise Terminal
Excellent facilities and very good value. The only negative point I would jade is the food is generally of average quality but I guess that is how their prices are kept competitive? I would definitely stay again for business purposes as it’s only 7 minutes drive to / from Portsmouth Cruise Terminal

My room was full of dust. All the shelves, desk, kettle and lamps. The room had clearly been vacant for some time judging by the dust. On checkout I said I wanted to make a complaint, I was asked “what I wanted” from making a complaint, no apology was given. My email address was taken and I was told that my complaint would be passed on to housekeeping With the prices that are charged for a 1 night stay, I would expect better cleanliness

Exactly what we were looking for, a nice clean hotel within six minutes to the ferry terminal for an early boat. Bonus that they did great food and the service was impeccable! We’ll stay again

Good welcome by staff. Room is very small, bathroom at the window end so it doesn’t have much natural light. Bathroom has frosted glass windows which can be made more opaque but the door has no frosted glass, ugh. Bed was big and comfortable In the room there isn’t a wardrobe, just a few hangers on a rail. The room and facilities in the room were basic. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, but alright, all self service. I would probably have given this hotel 3/5 stars except for the awful banging music and gym class going on at full blast from when we woke at 8.30. Seriously, do you think we want to listen to a gym class booming on and an instructor when we woke up? Either turn the speaker system down or insulate better. The hotel felt like a gym being rooms attached. Not all sides of the hotel could hear the gym class, but we could and it was dreadful. I think the hotel management should assess the noise levels from the rooms themselves, they seem to have forgotten it’s a hotel as well.
