“Shamrock is pretty close to Munnar (town) but still up in the hills close to some great views and nice forests - so it's a very good starting point for exploring Munnar. The staff is helpful and reliable and can arrange trekkingtours and such. There is no restaurant in the hotel but you can order breakfast (150 INR/person) and dinner (a good deal to chose from) for not much money. The breakfast was quite boring but cheap. Second it offers many onsite facilities like Gym, swimming pool, two restaurants, bonfire everyday on terrace with musical disco lights, the view of sunset as well as sunrise is awesome from the terrace.
