Lyx & Hundvänlig

2 sovrum, 3/4 bad, WiFi, kabel-TV, AC / värme, kaffe station / pentry, liten halv storlek kylskåp (kaffebryggare, vattenkokare, mikrovågsugn, brödrost och disk) utanför privat däck med bord sittplatser för 4 och med Grill och sidobrännare. Beläget på 3 hektar och backs till park land. 3 minuters promenad till Kootenay arm med lång sandstrand.

Vi befinner oss i en magisk del av Kootenay. Med enkel tillgång till vandring, mountainbike, båtliv, vattensporter, varma källor, lokala bagerier, kaféer, söndagsmarknad och regionala parker.

Det finns ett överflöd av vilda liv. Vi ser varje dag whitetail hjort. Det finns fåglar av alla slag; örnar, blåhäger, ankor, gäss, kalkoner och säsongsmässiga bergblå fåglar. På de omgivande bergen kan du vara lycklig att upptäcka älg eller svartbjörn. På natten kan du ibland höra coyotes.

Tåget passerar fortfarande vår plats två gånger om dagen sommar schema är vanligtvis runt middagstid och en gång på kvällen.

Hundvänlig till vänliga hundar. Husdjur måste vara husbrott (potty tränade) och socialiseras för att vara runt människor och andra hundar.

Vi föreslår att du hämtar matvaror för din vistelse innan du kommer ut. Vi är 24 km från Nelson.

We really enjoyed our stay. Polly and Tony were very welcoming and accommodating. It was like going to visit family. We will definitely book again when we go back to Harrop for a vacation.

Paradise on the lake

We had a great time at this property. Huge acreage with meticulously maintained golf field quality grass ,access to the private beach ,comfortable beds,plenty of towels and nice sized bathroom and bedrooms. Our dog had a blast running unleashed and chasing Frizbee .With everything so great and good kitchen lacked some space and bigger fridge.Thank you Tony and Polly for your hospitality

Home away from home!

Everything was just excellent! This place totally exceeded our expectations. Check in was easy with a host greeting you. Property is huge and has gorgeous views of the mountains and lake scenery. We had two dogs with us and they didn't want to leave and were very sad when we got home. Whatever we needed the property had, just felt like it is your own place and you coming back for vacation all the time. Hosts are super friendly, can answer any questions and provide more information on anything. The property is definitely a "comeback"!

Sweet and simple luxury

Thank you, Polly and Tony, for sharing your piece of heaven. The activity of the birds and deer during early morning coffee on the lawn was so entertaining. The view is spectacular! The stroll to the lake was easy. We found everything we needed in the cabin. The small kitchen was a delight as we gals knew that our stay would give us a week away from involved kitchen work. The beds were so luxurious. Most of all we appreciated your hospitality. Everything was so easy from booking, to check-in, and for contact with you during our stay. We will most definitely be back!

A great family & dog friendly place!

This property was perfect for our family vacation to the area. Polly and Tony were kind, welcoming and helpful. The cabin had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. The deck was a perfect space for us to eat meals and play card games in the evening. The beach was a short, easy walk along a mowed path and was very private - we only encountered other people there one time in four days. The cabin, yard and beach were very dog-friendly and our golden retriever had the time of his life. The Procter Village Cafe, just a short drive away was also a highlight for their cinnamon buns and Friday night pizza! We would absolutely stay at this property again. Thank-you for your hospitality Polly & Tony (and Nia)!

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."Polly is a very kind and gracious host. She could run any 5-star resort. Her love of all animals is heartwarming. The facilities were as described, and the location is great. I would love to give her the maximum rating and move on. Unfortunately, there is the tale of the other city. Upon arrival Tony (the other host) was not very welcoming, and the undercurrent was felt by all. We are still unclear what caused this inhospitality. We traveled with a truck camper and had coordinated this with Polly prior to arrival. On day 2 they demanded we pay cash for having the truck camper. This felt like a shake down and VRBO violation, We thought it was not an unreasonable amount (20) but should have been addressed prior to arrival. On day 3 we attempted to give them the cash after returning from sightseeing and they were not about. On day 4 Tony showed up while we were eating breakfast demanding “his money” – this rudeness created an environment so toxic that we cut our vacation early and departed. Had he just spoken to us he would have realized the absurd environment he created. Did he believe an engineer, two university professors and myself, a retired Air Force Colonel would not have paid our bill? In retrospect I think the conflict was the point.It pains me to write this, and I hope Polly finds a solution. The time with family and friends is special. I just want renters to be aware of the potential landmine.

Relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful scenery

We had an awesome time here! The hosts Tony and Polly, were very kind and accommodating for us during our entire stay. Our cabin was cleanly maintained and well stocked. The space is tranquil and the beds are some of the most comfortable that we ever had! Their labrador is a wonderful girl whose company was always welcome. It was a pleasure to watch deer walking through the field. Nelson is a little ways away but well worth the travel (tons of beautiful scenery). We look forward to a return trip!

Amazing Stay

During this time of Covid, we explored our home province and visited the Kootneys, which we have never seen. The house was very clean, and we felt very comfortable there. It was extremely hot during our visit, 37C (99F) and the air conditioning and fans worked wonderfully to keep it cool. The fridge is small, but we made it work and the only thing I missed in the kitchen was a teapot! Polly and Tony were fabulous hosts, as well as their beautiful dog Niya. There was lots to see in the area and we especially enjoyed ziplining at Kokanee Mountain Zipline.

From previsit to check out we had a terrific experience at the Rabbit Hutch and Polly and Tony made our vacation truly memorable. We were blown away by the cottage and all of the space outside. We had gracious hosts and our lab loved Nia, his new girlfriend. Had the time of our life and will be back again for sure!

Dog Paradise

Polly, Tony, & Ria were gracious hosts. they were a very interesting couple to talk with. the property and views were very nice. Hamish (dog) had a great playmate in Ria, and they both had tons of open space to run. We particularly liked the secluded beach nearby.
