“Our 2025 family reunion included 33 people from 1 year old to 76 in both the 1820's House and the Captain's House. The accommodations were comfortable and the houses were up to the task. There was room enough to gather together and space enough for smaller groups or down time. The accessibility was adequate for our one handicapped family member. The kitchen was well equipped. The formal dining room in the Captain's House wasn't quite large enough to accommodate us all but the second dining...

“Beautifully curated in such a quaint location! Many VRBOs are nice enough in convenient places, but THIS place is special. The furnishings and decor give a European simple elegance, but the spot is SO Maine! We enjoyed the few local spots and proximity to nature…truly fantastic place to unplug for a while! ”

“The location was fantastic, views everywhere you looked.Watched seals ,hunted the rocks for treasures. Visited Scoodic Point several times, tried several hikes.Ferry to Bar Harbor was the easy way to get there.Kids loved having the pool but it was very cold so the adults not so much, pools in New England need to be heated, The property was as described, very clean and well stocked.Definitely a return sometime.”

“The rocky shoreline and private tidepools were amazing. The large kitchen bar was great for meals and family games. The castle was quirky and spectacular and the long house that is under construction makes us want to come back! We had a great time in Maine.”
