Great home with lake access.

Family getaway
I rented the house to stay at while in town visiting my parents and sister. My parents and sister (and her dog) came and went as their schedule allowed the week I was there (with my dog). The house was spacious. I liked that the master bedroom and master bath was located on one side of the house and the the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms located on the other as I am a very early riser and like to get ready first thing and my parents and sister are late risers and like to get ready later in the day. I stayed in the master and didn't disturb them with my early morning routine. The kitchen was well appointed. Master bed was hard, so bring a topper if you don't like that. The living room had a wall of windows and a glass door. The weather was such that we kept the door open and let the dogs go in and out on the porch, sunbathing. The fall trees were beautiful. The house in on a finger of Lake Murray, and the water was down when we were there - nothing the owner can control. But when sitting on the couch or porch, all you see are the beautiful trees anyways. You don't see the water unless you are leaning on the porch railing or on the ground outside, so you're not missing out. The neighborhood was quite and fine for walking dogs. The grocery stores are 25 min away, but there are plenty of store choices. We ate at the recommended pizza place and it was excellent. We also ate at a local Greek place, and it was also excellent. We used the grill on the deck one night.

Army Graduation
We went to attend my son’s ARMY graduation and we stayed at this property. We haven’t been to a place so peaceful in a long time. The house was great. Easy check in and everything was like it was posted. We would really recommend this place. And also make time to check out Na’cho Margarita restaurant. Thanks for everything.

The property was as shown. It was spacious and the kitchen was good with newer appliances. It was simple to communicate with property owner who was responsive and accommodating to our needs. The area is about 10 to 20 minutes from grocery shopping but we were aware of that ahead of time. Good spot to chill!

Wonderful home
Wonderful home. Close to some great parks and the water. Only downside was private sand area and water in the cove. The cove in the picture is much clearer than the what was actually available. There was too much grass because of Summer growth.

Im glad you enjoyed the house and the area! Lake Murray is a special place. The water clarity definitely shifts with the water level and weather. Our cove is considered environmentally sensitive meaning it’s protected and we are prevented from doing anything to disturb the area. Although that’s definitely a downside, we love the quiet of the cove and the wildlife we get to watch. Please come back anytime!

Awesome home
Great location, far but not too far from any towns or cities, which is exactly what we were looking for. Kids loves the little sand area by the water and kayaks were included with the rental! Home lay out was perfect for our family, my wife loved the shower in the master bedroom. Overall perfect for our family and will definitely book again.

Vacation
I came here on vacation,visiting my older brother and his kids . The place was big enough for us to all have dinner there and kids to play in yard and fish on lake. Very nice open layout. It was very important to get a place big enough for us last time I came I stayed in a motel almost as big as just 1 of the rooms in this house was amazing and not much more price wise than the little motel I originally had. When we arrived there was a information packet that had local grocery stores and restaurants which was nice didn’t have to search for anything. Overall great experience would recommend!!

Father's Day Get-together

Wonderful, quiet neighborhood
This home was very close to the wedding venue we were visiting - the neighbors were so friendly and quiet. Kenny was very responsive to any questions that arose and quickly resolved any issues. We loved having internet and tv in the rooms!

Perfect Vacation Getaway
We had an amazing time at the vacation home. It was in a perfect location with lake access. We used the kayaks and were able to explore around the area. The inside was also excellent! Very clean and we had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. Any questions we had were answered very quickly and the whole stay was comfortable and fun for the whole family! I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Great family home in secluded area
This house is outside the city and on a quiet section of Lake Murray. The house was well stocked with towels, bedding and kitchen supplies. It was clean and the perfect size for our family. We absolutely loved the backyard with the lake, private beach, fire pit and kayaks. From the house, we explored Congaree National Park, Dreher Island State park, nearby hiking trails and Columbia downtown. It is a drive from everything, but the house and yard are worth it!

Fun lake vacation
We are a family of 6 with a friendly dog. We chose this place because we were able to have all of us, plus the dog, comfortably. We had a great stay. We rented a boat over at Lake Murray boat rental, which was not too far away, and enjoyed the weather that way. We also enjoyed the kayaks provided and went out a couple of times on those. Owner was friendly and responsive to requests.

Nice spot with nice/laid back neighbors
We enjoyed. Did spend a few hours clearing trees out of the water to safely bring in pontoon, but then enjoyed the seclusion (cool stream to left of beach and back into woods) Funky neighborhood w nice neighbors. Kayaks great for exploring nearby coves and viewing wildlife. Dogs enjoyed all. Used two baby gates to keep on back porch a good bit, but otherwise loved the secluded Cove and the nearby woods. Deer in woods every day (and in neighbors backyard). Overall enjoyable stay

Quiet & Relaxing Family Getaway
We enjoyed our stay, the home had all the necessities needed, pet friendly which was a plus for us since we like to travel with our 2 small miniature Schnauzers. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Had good internet but the TV was a bit confusing to use. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house with many amenities for your stay.The fire pit on the ground deck was so relaxing.
We met my daughter and son-in law for a mini vacation, at the house which was half way for both of us. We went to the State Park to swim and then to the Dominion hydro dam. We relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company- just what we needed!

Great family getaway
We had an amazing time! The first day we took the kayaks out and explored the lake. My kids enjoyed their first kayaking experience and the lake was beautiful. The home is at the very end of one of the break-offs from the lake so it's not really swimmable (at least for small kids.. or my preference) and a little mucky. But it is still very beautiful and a short paddle out on the kayak brings you to open lake area that's breathtaking. We also saw several deer in the area which was nice since we are from Florida and it's not something we are used to. The second day we went to Dreher island state park which is not far from the home. There is two trails to hike and an area to park and swim in the lake. The home was clean and had what was needed to enjoy the time we spent inside. We did get some rainstorms but it was enjoyable to sit on the back porch with some wine and listen to the raindrops hit the trees. There's a small deck and beach area down by the water that we were able to enjoy. We brought a few sand toys for the kids to play with while we relaxed on the chairs. There is also a fire pit right there on the beach area where we were able to do smores. The home is pet friendly so we enjoyed bringing our dog with. All together we had a great family getaway and enjoyed the home and peace and quiet of the area.

Great Get Away - Not for Swimming
The house was clean, very relaxing, and comfortable. We loved the sandy beach and our toddler had a great time digging. However, this property is not swimming friendly. While it’s technically on a lake, because of the location it’s more like a pond - still, murky, hot water. Our dog loved swimming, but we didn’t feel comfortable having kids or ourselves in it. We ended up going to Dreher Island State Park every day and it was beautiful for swimming! It worked well since it was just 15 mins away. I would highly recommend the house if you’re a kayaker, have a boat, etc and can get to more open water. Or, if you want a home base and plan to spend the day swimming at the state park. If you’re looking for a place to hop in the water and swim around, this may not be for you.

Quiet and relaxing getaway
My family and I (4 adults and 1 toddler) stayed at this house for a family wedding nearby. We loved the open floor plan of the house, which was great for relaxing. We also really enjoyed paddling the kayaks down the creek to the lake. It was a great and quiet spot away from the bustle of the more populated areas, but still convenient to everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Get Away
We spent 5 nights here and could have stayed longer. Home was perfect for us. As someone who has stayed at VRBO properties across the country, as well as had our own listing for 4 years - Prosperity has to be without a doubt one of the nicest and well appointed homes that we have stayed in. So peaceful and quite after long days of house hunting, we are relocating to the area and are already making plans to return to Prosperity. After we relocate this will definitely be our place to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. It was just my wife and I, however home would be perfect for even larger families with the capability to sleep 8 comfortably. Thank you again for a great experience - we cannot wait to return
