Great location and home -- even better than the photos!
This home is wonderful, with lots of room to spread out and beautiful outdoor spaces that look out onto a forested valley. Veranda is perfect for spying on birds, monkeys, and iguanas through binoculars. The location worked well. The 10-minute walk to the beach allowed adults to head over individually before the rest drove over with chairs/umbrella/cooler. Easy walk to a few restaurants. We had a good dinner at El Colibri, but Soda la Plaza was our favorite (my best meal in Costa Rica!). The beach was beautiful and uncrowded at the end of November. A fringe of palm trees provided relief from the sun for the local families and tourists hanging out. The road is close to the beach, but we didn’t hear or see it from the sand/water. (Serious speed bumps keep traffic slow and quiet.) As the description indicates, the bedrooms have AC, but the common areas don’t. Despite the hot and humid weather, fans and open windows/doors kept the common areas comfortable. And we frequently hopped into the beautiful pool. Host was very responsive before and during our visit. The housekeeper was knowledgeable and helpful, even though she and I didn’t speak a common language. She had done an excellent job of prepping the house, which was very clean. We’re glad we opted to have her cook us breakfast one morning. It was delicious and the outdoor setting near the pool was lovely. We’d stay here again in a minute!

Beautiful home esp. the outdoor paradise
The house is large and beautiful, especially the outdoor paradise. Great pool, lots of room to sit, outdoor bar and patio table, butterflies in the garden, convenient restroom to pool area. We had a delicious breakfast prepared on-site - highly recommend. Owner and maid/cook were lovely to deal with. Maid only speaks Spanish but we mostly got by with our basic fluency. Note that only the bedrooms are air conditioned. During our stay it was uncomfortably hot in the living space, despite open windows and one floor fan. We never got a cross breeze. Also tightly seal all food items or store them all in the fridge or the tiny tenacious ants will find it! (Costa Rican ants are impressive!) Also be aware that the town is quite small - that may be your thing, but fyi.

Beautiful pool and outdoor space
We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but didn’t realize how far down the coast the property was. (That was my error in booking) The house itself was fine. Clean, spacious and very pretty. Didn’t realize the 3 bedrooms were in a room with a locked door, although it was a nice safety feature. Had to ask for more towels and for beach chairs but they were brought to us very quickly and we appreciated the timely response. Ice maker and water dispenser on fridge was not working. We loved our day in Samara, but ultimately decided to leave early to head to Langosta.

Beautiful home and property, amazing hosts!
This is a beautiful property and fit our family of 8 perfectly. Myrtha made us breakfast and coffee every morning while accommodating our vegan diet. Our kids loved the plantains she cooked, made with love as she described. Jackie was an incredible host, making our stay as easy as possible by arranging zip lining and a boat trip to see dolphins. She also found a local vegan bakery and picked up a cake for us to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday during our stay. She went above and beyond our expectations! Can't wait to come back and stay here or at another one of her properties.

Great location and house for two families
We stayed for a week. The owner Jacqueline was was very responsive and checked in frequently throughout our stay. The housecleaner Myrta, was exceptional and very helpful. The houses are close to Carillo Beach. We walked to Playa Carillo one day, although the road is a bit busy for walking with small children, so we drove most days. The restaurants in the area are excellent, and it was a relaxing stay. The biggest disappointment was that the sloth tour wasn’t running, but days at the the pool and beach more than made up for it, as well as a boat ride to watch dolphins, swim, snorkel, and trawl for fish (sadly did not catch anything, but still fun).

Great family vacation spot!
Our family of six (parents and 4 adult children) had a wonderful time staying here. The home is spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone. The pool is beautiful and was enjoyed by all. Monkeys and iguanas were frequent visitors! Working with Jackie was a breeze. From the moment I booked the house she was available and easy to communicate with - answering messages and offering suggestions on local experiences, restaurants, stores, and drive times to/from airport and other towns. Jackie checked on us throughout the visit to make sure we had all we needed. She helped arrange a private dinner in the house with a lovely man named Walter who served fresh mahimahi (caught by his son), shrimp, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Mornings started with hot coffee and a delicious breakfast prepared by Myrtha, who also kept the house spotless. Restaurants and local grocery stores are in walking distance. The local beach was beautiful and not crowded. We took surfing lessons in Samara and enjoyed a zip line adventure one day. Thank you Jackie for sharing your home with us so we could experience your beautiful country! We all had a great first trip to Costa Rica and hope to return!

Wonderful week with the family!
Beautiful home and guest house with even more beautiful pool and grounds! We had a wonderful time ... thanks to Jackie who helped arrange some activities and reservations for us. Playa Carrillo is a gorgeous beach a short walk away. Myrtha makes excellent breakfasts and took good care of the house and us. All in all we had a terrific vacation!

Tropical Paradise

Costa Rican Oasis
Great property with wonderful pool and grounds. Great compound for interaction of multiple guests that still are able to maintain their individual private areas due to the large size of the property. Wonderfully prepared full Costa Rican breakfasts each day. Friendly and efficient housekeeper kept the house in order. The property did have multiple maintenance issues that need to be corrected. In short, the property is great and would be an easy five star property with a little tender loving care.

Wonderful spot for a family vacation
We loved this house. The house itself has lots of character, is very comfortable and a lovely outdoor sitting area. The pool is beautiful and the setting amongst the trees is lovely, we saw some amazing birds, including toucans! Easy walk to the shops and a few local restaurants. It's a bit of a walk to the beach as there is a hill on the way back but it's a 1 min drive and the beach is absolutely divine, it was our favourite beach in Costa Rica. Never crowded, very safe for swimming and a nice family vibe on the beach. If you want more restaurants or shopping, Samara is less than 15 mins down the road. There's also some more secluded beaches within 30/40mins of the house that are not hard to reach even by two wheel drive car. We wished we had more time to explore. Jackie was really great in her communication with us and her tips on driving to the house helped a lot as Google maps is not overly accurate in Costa Rica (loves to take you down a rough dirt road). She also helped us organise an airport transfer for my parents which was great. Mrytha, the housekeeper and breakfast chef was lovely and served up delicious breakfast each day and kept the house spotless. We wished we never had to leave and really hope that we'll be back to this wonderful spot.

More than we could have dreamed of! An unbelievable expereince!
The home and property is breathtaking -- we watched monkeys play in the trees while we were eating. Beach is a 10 minute walk - and the beach was quiet and beautiful. The host was so helpful, attentive and so very responsive. Myrtha's breakfast was delicious and she was so wonderful. We WILL be back!

Family Xmas vacation
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Oasis (8 adults). Jackie organized our transportation to and from the airport. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious and Martha was flexible with what time we wanted to eat. The restaurants in the area were soooo good that we didn’t even want to go to Samara for dinners like we originally thought we would. There were many minor maintenance issues such as broken screens on upper windows, the safe was broken and knives were very dull but this didn’t really affect our stay. The pool was wonderful and helped us cool off when we got too warm. There was a variety of wildlife that came by to visit including monkeys, raccoons, iguanas and a variety of birds. There were many furnished areas to sit outside and the outdoor furniture was of excellent quality. They guys went fishing with Jackie’s husband Rick and also had a wonderful experience, they even caught a marlin! All the tours we booked were willing to pick us up at the Villa. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Villa Oasis. Jackie was very helpful with information and bookings. She has many local connections and we were very comfortable at her home.

A lovely experience
Jacqueline was an incredibly supportive host, setting up tours with really wonderful guides and last minute trips to and from the airport. Hi my friends felt incredibly supported the entire way through the trip. Jermaine great recommendations for bringing in meals, including special meal by Chef Yannii and delicious fresh fish and lobster tacos by Walter. Myrta was a super attentive support with huge, delicious breakfasts and the house was always clean and well kept. The Spanish speakers among us really loved being able to talk and ask questions and she always had the coffee strong and ready when we woke up. The house was perfect for our group setup -- which was a number of single and couple friends with one family where people could have their own private space but easily come together for meals and talking time around the pool, on the porch, and in the living room. And the location was great! Super close to Playa Carrillo, a really short drive to Playa Samara and easy walking access to several restaurants/sodas and a grocery store. We loved our experience and we would go again and stay there again in a heartbeat.

Villa Oasis is Amazing!
Our stay at Villa Oasis was great! The home is lovely, comfortable, and has beautiful grounds. It is even prettier in person! We enjoyed the pool, and its resident iguana, every day. Communication with Jackie was quick, helpful, and friendly from booking to departure. Myrtha greeted us upon arrival, was very welcoming, and gave us a tour of the house, which is well-equipped with everything you might need. And, Myrtha made us a great breakfast every morning of our stay and kept the house spotless! Her daughter was also very sweet. It was very easy to get to the house and we felt very secure. We enjoyed being close to Samara, but also found Carrillo had everything we needed - a few restaurants and markets. Playa Carrillo is easy to get to, has tons of parking, and has beautiful sunsets. Jackie connected us with Brian at Wakaya Tours for a fun side-by-side ATV tour. We really enjoyed that tour - the ATVs are a blast to drive and Brian made us feel very safe through the entire adventure. Jackie also arranged surf lessons for our oldest son at Playa Samara. The beach at Samara was a great place to try surfing and to just to be in the water – gentle surf and shallow water. We also booked a tour at the Jungle Butterfly Farm and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. It was an easy drive from the house, and we were able to go to Camaronal Wildlife Refuge on the same trip. Our family would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great for extended family
Super nice location with no neighbors from inside the property to be concerned about. We felt secure and secluded. There are restaurants and markets within walking distance and the beach is not too much further. We enjoyed the patio dinning table and pool with a mansion feel. There are separate rooms and a sufficient number of restrooms, including one in the pool area. Some details could be worked on for type "A" people, like a Christmas themed table cloth in July and minor maintenance. Everything else was great and went as expected. Communication with hosts and Myrtha, the on-site person, was great. Myrtha cooked two very good breakfast meals for our large group and was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Property!
We had an amazing time! The property is beautiful, roomy, and well appointed. A yummy breakfast provided every morning made us feel spoiled and well taken care of. Also, having housekeeping every day in a VRBO is such a nice treat! We wouldn’t have changed a thing! The host is very responsive, and once we arrived gave us lots of recommendations on things to do and places to eat and nothing disappointed. Playa Carillo has become one of our top beaches of all time! If we ever find ourselves back in Costa Rico, we’d stay here again without hesitation!

Amazing home and extraordinary host!
I'd love to keep this property all to myself but that would be such an injustice. Jackie has a lovely home, it is well-appointed, has relaxing vibes and is in a wonderful location. The AC in the bedrooms kept us all comfortable as we slept. We spent much of our time at the home out on the deck or in the refreshing pool. Mrytha, the housekeeper, kept the home tidy, did some laundry for us which was super helpful, and even cooked us breakfast! Jackie was an extraordinary host. She offered top-notch recommendations, made reservations for fun activities (surfing & dolphin tour) and her husband hooked mine up with a last-minute wardrobe need. We highly recommend this home and will definitely stay here again.

A home away from home
We had an excellent time here. The pool was the highlight for the grandchildren every day. Jackie was great and easy to communicate with. She set up a dolphin tour for us which was totally worth it. We absolutely loved Myrtha, who made an amazing breakfast for us every morning. We will miss her and her warm personality the most. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants and the corner store. Playa Carrillo is definitely our favourite beach ever. We will cherish the memories from our stay here. Loved every minute!

Luxury in Paradise
This is a beautiful property that is well appointed and landscaped, and kept impeccably clean by Myrtha, the housekeeper and breakfast chef. The host, Jackie, checked in every few days to make sure were having fun. She made some suggestions of activities she thought we would enjoy, and let us know when she heard there would be an arribada at Playa Ostional, which we would otherwise not have known and was a highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed her recommended visit to the macaw recovery project and hiking the trails and the beach at nearby Playa Camaronal. Jackie also provided all the foods we liked for breakfast, which included lots of fruit. We made delicious smoothies with the blender that is provided. The pool is very private, and we used it many times per day to cool off, as the house was hot in the afternoons. It is also wonderful at night to float in the pool and look at the stars. Also enjoyed the boogie boards in the gentle surf of Playa Carillo.

Fantastic house with plenty of space!
We were eight people looking for a stay in Carillo, and we were very fortunate that we selected this spot. Great location, walking distance to a beautiful beach. Convenient stores and restaurants nearby too. Great communication with the landlord. Daily cleaning service and cooked breakfast (delicious!) included… way beyond our expectations. Internet worked great. Pool was refreshing. Very happy overall!

We could not have asked for a better experience. Jackie and Rick were amazing. They went above and beyond to provide everything we needed during our stay. From setting up a fishing excursion, finding a private cook, to answering every question we asked they were there. Myrta made great breakfasts for us every morning, and we really enjoyed meeting her. My kids loved playing with her daughter. Overall an amazing experience!

Far and away the best place we have ever stayed
Everything about our stay was magical. The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean; the grounds were breathtaking, the pool was delightful, and Jackie could not have been a better host. She was so accommodating and went above and beyond every step of the way. We felt like we had our own personal concierge service! She booked an incredible boat excursion for us where we saw tons of dolphins frolicking right next to our boat; she made much appreciated recommendations for activities, sights, and restaurants, and she was so kind and pleasant and truly made us feel like it was her pleasure to make sure we had the best possible experience. And then there is the housekeeper, Myrtha, who also added so much to our stay here by fixing us substantial and delicious breakfasts each morning and then doing some cleaning — again, making us feel like it was her pleasure to serve us. Our family of 6 adults enjoyed our stay so much. We would love to come back to Costa Rica, and if and when we do — we would definitely stay here again!

Puerto Carillo
We enjoyed our week long stay at this property! We loved the location and the neighborhood. The house and the guesthouse were huge and although there were two families we all had enough privacy and space to enjoy each other. The grounds and view are beautiful. Jackie was so helpful arranging activities for us. She responded immediately and was willing to do anything to make our week great. This was our first trip after covid and it was a wonderful getaway!

Lovely stay
We had an excellent experience at Villa Oasis - my family, including two children under age 3, stayed for a week and had a lovely time! The home was great, clean, spacious, quiet, and had a great pool and outdoor with lots of wildlife visitors we saw during our time, such as howler monkeys, iguanas, and lovely birds. There was also a box of sand and water toys for our kids to play with in the pool and at the beach. Mirtha’s presence made our trip stand out from other visits we’ve had to Costa Rica, as she made great breakfasts for us every day and cleaned the kitchen and bed/bathrooms, helped to connect us with a local fisherman to buy some red snapper one day, and just answered many little questions like where the safest place on the beach would be for my littles to get in the ocean, etc. Her daughter is also lovely and loved playing with my two small children in the mornings. This was our first time staying in Playa Carrillo and we really enjoyed the town - it is a great quiet and accessible town for families - the beach is great with lots of shade and a calm cove near the big rock that is safe for children to play in the water. Jackie was a lovely host - she checked in with us frequently, and was beyond helpful in helping me to coordinate our covid testing requirements for reentry into the states - a local laboratory actually came to the house and tested our whole group for us one morning - so wonderful! I would highly recommend a stay here! We hope to return again soon. :-)

Villa Oasis is paradise
Our group of 6 people (3 couples) had an amazing time at Villa Oasis! The house and adjoining apartment made for a very comfortable stay with more than enough room for everyone to relax and unwind! The pool was beautiful and perfect to escape the sun and heat. The owner Jackie was the perfect host, always quick to respond to our questions and with lots of great recommendations to make sure we had a great stay. Her housekeeper, Merta was an added bonus making breakfast and keeping everything clean! We would definitely recommend staying at Villa Oasis when visiting Costa Rica!

A wonderful property
We spent 8 days at this property ! We loved it! Very spacious . Loved location and pool was amazing. ( we did wish the waterfall would of ran more than just a few hours a day) Jacque was awesome to work with to say the least!!! She helped us schedule a tour and gave us some local this gs to do!! We were also caught in an accident coming in from San Jose and was extremely late getting in, but was greeted my Maritz with a smile ! One of the air conditioning units went out which was beyond anyone’s control and she had the men there fixing it bright and early one morning. Breakfast was amazing also! We love this property and would highly recommend!!!!!

Just/Nelson Family Vacation
We were traveling as two families of four(teenagers and adults). It was the Nelson family's third visit to Playa Carrillo and the Justs' first visit to Costa Rica. The location is perfect for us. Quiet street were you get to meet the neighbors and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The house was set up perfect. Plenty of room for our two families to relax. The pool was plenty big; maybe a bit cool, but very refreshing when returning from the hot beach. Kitchen had everything we needed and a wonderful gas grill. Daily visits from the iguanas and monkeys. Mirta, the housekeeper / cook was wonderful! She was very accommodating to our needs . If we wanted breakfast earlier, we just let her know and it was no problem. Not that we made a big mess, but it was nice to have someone pick up and organize after we hustled to get out the door for whatever activity we had planned. Our families really enjoyed having Mirta around. Whether it was her breakfasts or practicing their Spanish with her or her cute little daughter. Jackie was a Wonderfull and gracious host. She was readily available to set up an activity or available for questions. We will definitely look at staying at Villa Oasis on our next trip to Playa Carrillo. Relaxing place to stay with young family
We loved staying at Jackie's home and would gladly return. I stayed with my family of four (6 and 3yo) for 5 days. Jackie was a very responsive hostess both before and during our trip. We were greeted by Mirta, who helped orient us and was around daily to do some cleaning. We loved having Mirta there daily (she cleans for a few hours in the morning). She was incredibly pleasant and warm. Her 7yo daughter came over on a couple of occasions to play with my kids. It was a pleasure to have breakfast on the porch. The house was much bigger than expected based on the pictures. Agree with other reviews that it could get warm in the main room/kitchen but we weren't too bothered given the AC in the bedrooms and the pool. We saw more wildlife here than on the rest of our three week trip (including during our hikes in the Monteverde and Arenal areas)--monkeys, iguanas, various birds. Having a car is a good idea (especially with kids) though you could walk to the beach. We loved the beach (Carillo)--beautiful sand, great waves for the kids, and quiet. Being there in the late afternoon and for sunsets was amazing. We visited the Samara beach as well but preferred Carillo as it was much quieter and (we thought) more beautiful. Loved the pipa frias (fresh, cold coconut water) to cool off. Samara is a close 10 minute drive. Nice small beach town to explore. Some lovely places to each right on the beach. We ate at the nearby Hula Jungla a couple of times. Good food and a couple of swings that my kids loved. Also ate at Los Colibris which was great Argentinia parilla. Very cute, outdoor space. Highly recommend it as well. This is the type of place we'd love to return to. Highly recommend. Thanks Jackie and Mirta!

50th Anniversary Family Celebration
This property was perfect for the occasion. Our group of 12 included our 4 and 8 year old grandchildren ,their parents, and our former German exchange student with her husband and two teenage daughters. Everyone loved the swimming pool and short walk to the beach and restaurants. Merta made wonderful breakfasts. And took good care of us. Jackie arrived soon after our arrival and it was such a pleasure to meet her and have her answer all our questions and make great recommendations of things to do and make dinner reservations for us which was so helpful on Christmas Eve. We could not be more pleased,

Quiet Getaway
We traveled to Villa Oasis as two couples. The communication & the check-in were excellent. The location requires a rental car for travelling & shopping, & is located near the end of a quiet, private street. The covered deck with the rocking chairs made for a very relaxing time here. The new BBQ was a nice touch. A/C in the bedrooms (only) made for a great night sleep. Thank you Jacqueline & Mirta for your hospitality.

Big Nice & Clean house steps from the beach
We had a wonderfull time my family and I Jacqueline has been awesome with us, helped to book a tour, and have been looking for everything to be sure we had a great stay. This home is very well maintained, very clean and a perfect home for family. The only point I would work on it would be the privacy in the morning. The cleaning Lady on the first day stayed a couple of hours in the morning cleaning around.... I would prefer stayed alone to have some rest, but not a big issue. I understand there is no problem. everything was perfect. thank you so much Jacqueline because we had such a great time

Great location, lots of space, very private
Great property for larger groups. We were 7, and had LOTS of room. Well-equipped, surrounded by trees that provide privacy for the house and the pool area, while also attracting lots of birds. Super close to the less crowded Carrillo beach, while a 10-15 min drive to Samara which offers more “action”, shopping, gas stations, etc. Property management and Hostess (who served breakfast and cleaned up) were both excellent and responsive. Will definitely keep Villa Oasis on my short list for future stays in this area of Guanacaste!

"Oasis" indeed!
Villa Oasis is in an easily accessible neighborhood with a private security gate, fabulous pool and great breakfast cook/housekeeper. The owner, Jackie (speaks English and Spanish) stopped in to give us travel tips for the area and her contact number for any questions/concerns. We rented ATV's which I would recommend from Outback Tours in Samara and we enjoyed exploring for miles around on our own on the beaches and in the jungle. There are brightly colored birds, hummingbirds, howler monkeys, iguanas, frogs and a very large toad that you can see on the property, or from the property. No critters were a bother - not even mosquitos. We did not cook at the house, but if we did, we'd have used the outdoor grill. The bedrooms are well air-conditioned. The living area/kitchen is not. There is a large, elevated porch that catches the breeze - this is where we ate breakfast - as well as deck/bar area around the pool. Also an outdoor shower - huge plus! We tried two of the restaurants in Carillo, including one soda and the Argentinian dinner spot at the end of the street. Both were excellent. The house was kept clean and supplied and we would definitely recommend and stay again. There were 4 adult couples in our group. Pura Vida! Thanks Jackie, Rick and Mirtha!

Amazing! Will be back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Oasis! In fact if we didn't have reservations we couldn't cancel we would have stayed longer. House and pool are amazing. The housekeeper is very sweet and cooked an amazing breakfast each morning. The beach at Playa Carillo is our favorite beach of any of the places we have traveled. Excellent local restaurants. If you want to experience true Costa Rica, this is the place for you! We are already planning a return trip.

Grateful in Paradise!!
We Just returned from an amazing week at Jackie and Rick’s beautiful home, Villa Oasis!! We travelled with my 2 teenage kids and neither one of them wanted to leave...and of course we didn’t either! Mirta was there every morning to cook a delicious breakfast, that we looked forward to each day. The pool was such a treat after a long day on the beach, ATVs, surfing and fishing with Capt Rick on the Kingfisher! Have to mention the Kingfisher and Capt Rick because we landed 7 sailfish and a blue marlin! We were thrilled with all aspects of our vacation and Jackie and Rick are incredible hosts! We miss you guys and hope to see you sooner than later!! PURA VIDA💕

Great for a big family vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay. The main house and guest house provided plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and four kids. Three king sized beds and three en-suite bathrooms made for many comfortable bedrooms. Only two bedrooms had to share a bathroom. The AC in the bedrooms made for great sleeps. The proximity to nature creates wonderful sounds and sights. If we could just get the howler monkeys to start a little later in the morning. Haha! The pool was perfect for us. The temperature was great and it was nice that it was partially shaded in the late afternoon so we could get the kids out of the sun. Mirta made great breakfasts. Especially the pancakes! She stays and cleans all morning too but her quiet demeanour makes this comfortable. I like the location with easy access to carrillo beach which was so quiet and it was easy to get to Sámara for things we needed. The place exceeded our expectations. A couple nice to haves but not complaints at all: It would have been nice to have access to the laundry at the house as there’s lots of laundry travelling with kids. Another nice addition would be some kind of fan in the kitchen. It’s very very hot and sweaty when you’re trying to cook dinner and wash dishes.

Villa Oasis is exactly that...an oasis in some of the most gorgeous beaches that The Good Lord ever made. The Villa was great for the 5 adults and 5 kids. Jackie made sure we had names and contact information on any excursion you would want to do. Think of it as a land cruise where you sleep in the same bed, but do something exciting every day. The pool was in use all day and perfect for adults and kids. The food was outstanding, I never knew fish could taste so good! No complaints from anyone in our group!

Wonderful stay! Would absolutely stay again!
We were a group of 8 adults that flew into Libiria airport and rented a van. This house was perfect! All of the tours picked us up from the house and we were able to walk to restaurants for dinner. We drove about 5 -10 mins to the beach and the larger town of Samara to souvenir shop have lunch at restaurants that where on the beach, ATM, and grocery shop. The house is bigger then the pictures look and very comfortable. The two rooms in the side house have there own bathrooms and is just a few steps from the pool and main house. Mirta, the housekeeper, is amazing! She makes breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes, rice and beans, fruit and coffee) and cleans the house daily. Jacqueline is so sweet and helpful! She will arrange tours, massages, chef dinners, dinner reservations - anything! We wanted an ice chest for the beach and she asked Mirta to deliver one to us. Having a local concierge that was just a text message away was the best part about the entire stay. Everything was fantastic! A few things to note just to level set expectations: only the bedrooms have air conditioning so it does get hot in the living room and bathrooms but there are lots of windows to let the breeze in, the pool is cold because it doesn’t get much sunlight because of the palm trees but it feels nice when its hot out and when you’re sunburned plus it’s nice to relax in the shade, the wifi is slow but it might have just been because we had 8 people on the wifi, the driveway is steep so we got out of the van to pull in and out so our van wouldn’t scrape. I highly recommend staying here!

Spacious comfortable home that our group of 6 really enjoyed.
This house worked really well for our group of 6. Location was great as we had a rental car to drive to Playa Samara, Playa Carrillo & Punta Islita. Both the owner Jacqueline & house keeper Mirta were so incredibly sweet & helpful. Jacqueline booked a dolphin/snorkeling tour with Octupus Tours which we really enjoyed! On the tour we caught a huge mahi mahi which we ate for lunch that day. Mirta cooked wonderful breakfasts for our crew every morning and we felt so spoiled. A/C worked great in the bedrooms & we really enjoyed the spacious accommodations! The living area/kitchen was pretty warm during the day, but since we had a rental car we could drive ourselves to go out to eat. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and loved Playa Samara. Pura Vida!

Beautiful home, clean and well maintained. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable of the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to the beaches, great restaurants up the street (El Colbri) and a Pizza / bar (Hugo Jungla), and Mirta was perfect. Carrillo beach has lots of trees for shade and is great for kids. Samara is good for surfing but less shade provision.
