“Our room was clean and nice. However, just walking through the hallways, the floors were dirty and needed to be swept. It gave a negative impression of the hotel at first sight. The air conditioning in our room did not work and it was 80 degrees in there. It took the staff a while to find us a new room, but they did upgrade to a larger room, which was the proper response for our inconvenience and was appreciated. Even the hallways on the upper floors were hot. Those were our only complaints....

“We were only here for a night but upon arrival (I had done online check-in), we were told we had 2 free bottles of water in the fridge but when the counter staff saw we were 4, she allowed us to take 2 extra. The hotel itself is actually pretty cool. It is very trippy - like 50’s-60’s color/decor. There was even a wine vending machine in the lobby. It is very institutional looking in the hallways. “This is our third time staying here. The property is charming and unique. It is located near the heart of the city and so much can be reached by walking down Franklin St. and the adjacent neighborhoods staring at the rich collection of antique homes. Nice common areas, a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of coffee help the quests meet and chat. Check-in is easy. Off street parking that is in a locked and gated lot behind the building is a big plus. We will stay again. ”

"It was a night without sleep. Located directly next to the highway, you can hear the traffic constantly. In addition to that, poor insulation between the rooms. So the couple who lived next door felt like they were making love in our room. Had to knock several times on the plasterboards that are between the rooms, to make them stop. It was so emberesing. On the sheets was stains, poorly cleaned room, dead mosquitoes and a fly by the window. The staff was nice. "
