âWe booked this place based on it was a new listing and nice modern furnishings. Maybe we were the unlucky ones but we were welcomed with unswept floors, non-working toliet with a surprise from a previous unsuccessful flush, dead insects, and no hot water. We had to run the water for 2-3 minutes to get 'luke warm', not convenient for our small children. âWe had a wonderful time. This is a lovely small and quiet resort, near to some stunning quiet beaches and great restaurants. A car is essential, but if you donât want a car, stay in the capital as your own transport is essential to get anywhere on the island.â

âWe enjoyed our 2 night stay at Archon Seaside Retreat. Christos is a great host and showed us the main areas to visit when we first arrived. The rooms are clean, modern and we had a nice view from our balcony. Would definitely recommend renting a car if you stay to make the most of your time in Naxos as the island is very spread out. â

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast every morning was delicious. The rooftop restaurant? Hands down some of the best food I had the whole tripâplus the views were unreal.

âThis place was amazing. It's at the end of a somewhat underdeveloped part of Plaka Beach, so it's very quiet and you basically. The staff are all super nice and accommodating. The bar at the pool has some of the best bartenders on the whole island. The cocktail menu is great, and they also can make anything you like. I like a good Mai Tai, and they made a proper one for me which was amazing.â
