We enjoyed our stay at the barn so much! It was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The decor was so pretty, We immediately felt at home. The beds are super comfortable. There were several little extra touches that were greatly appreciated, like yogurt, muffins, granola, milk, eggs and juice. It was very relaxing to sit outside in the morning quiet. So peaceful! We will certainly be back.

Outstanding experience

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Sara was an outstanding host. She thoughtfully left us enough goodies like fresh eggs, muffins, yogurt, milk, juice, etc. to make our arrival easy and welcoming. This was the cleanest rental we’ve experienced on our annual vacation. We love this rental and hope to return.

Amazing B&B

This was by far the best property we have rented through VRBO! Sara was a wonderful host; super easy to communicate with and so hospitable. It was so nice to have fresh breakfast food waiting for us and my kids enjoyed the playground & basketball hoop. The property was an easy drive to local attractions. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. My family is already asking when we can come back!

Wonderful weekend getaway!

We had a fabulous stay! Highly recommend! So clean and comfortable. We travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we have stayed. We went to Sight & Sound, outlets, Cherry Crest farm, and all were in close proximity. We plan to stay here again next year.

Leave your stress behind

My friends and I have claimed this place as our little slice of paradise that’s just a short drive from our homes. All of our stress is immediately gone when we arrive in this beautiful barn apartment that’s set on lovely grounds with a farm view off in the near distance. The property is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and impeccably maintained in and out. Sara is responsive to all of our needs and has the kitchen set with all the essentials, including fruit, milk, coffee, and more. I look forward to our next stay and it can’t come soon enough!

Loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Stoney Hill Barn. The apartment was decorated beautifully and well appointed with everything we needed during our stay. We were welcomed with some delicious baked goods and other basic groceries in the kitchen which was a special touch and much appreciated. The perfect getaway to share with three generations!

My grandparents, mom and myself spent 4 wonderful nights here. The place was beautifully decorated and not to mention, immaculate! When we walked into the place, it felt just like home. Sara had provided us with essentials and goodies, which made it easy for us to settle in right away. Location is perfect as you get to experience the quiet countryside, but are just a short drive away from multiple different towns. Thank you so much for making our trip comfortable and relaxing. If anyone is looking for accommodations in this area, look no further! 10/10 recommend.

Great place to stay!

Beautiful home with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The updates were great! Sara was great to work with. She supplied everything we needed! The muffins and sourdough bread was to die for!!!!! We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!!!! We WILL be back!!!!!! I highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Lancaster Cozy Spot

This location was a great spot for a quiet weekend with an old friend and little boys. We had plenty of space and the boys slept late after doing laps on the stairs to chase paper airplanes. The boys enjoyed saying hello to the goats and cows on the property. The house was close to the Strausburg Railroad and the Train Museum, both good day trips.

The property, the service, the attention to detail and attentiveness of the owner were impeccable. The only hitch in the entire stay was the spotty internet service. I would absolutely stay again, anytime in Lancaster, PA area!

We loved our stay. We enjoyed several activities like sight and sound, the Santa train, and Dutch wonderland. The host was very accommodating and even provided food that we enjoyed. The home was very clean and the craftsmanship was very good. Very quaint and quiet.

My favorite and only place I stay in the Lancaster area

I could immediately feel the stress release as I arrived at this stunningly peaceful place. There’s fresh fruit and muffins in the kitchen so no worries if you arrive hungry. The property is beautifully maintained and sunsets against a serene landscape can be seen from the kitchen table. The apartment is comfortable, tastefully done, and spotlessly clean- Not even a watermark on the shower door! Be sure to stop in Sara’s market for the pot pies and cinnamon buns!

Beautiful Serene Setting

We had a great time! The kids loved the playground and feeding the goats. The place was beautiful. It fit our family of five perfectly. We loved the country setting and yet we were only 15-20 minutes from a grocery store, Dutch Wonderland, The Windmill Farm, and The Railroad Museum.

Amazing even in the rain!

This property is just amazing! From the cleanliness and beautiful decor to the scenery that surrounds it. I am a germaphobe, and usually have anxiety about going away due to cleanliness. As soon as I walked in, I knew that this place was just what I needed. Sara was a great host. There were fresh muffins , fruit, eggs, milk and butter there for us when we arrived. A beautiful touch! Even though the weather was terrible , we were at least stuck inside of a beautiful place and relaxed. Thanks so much and hope to visit again!!!!

Enjoyed our stay

The barn apartment is a lovely and tranquil space. The view from the living / dining room, out over the neighboring farms, is quite impressive. There is the occasional noise / break from otherwise serene space from the owners accessing the garage below or coming and going from the main house, which while not pictured, is about 100 feet from barn. While hardly a detraction, it is worth mentioning. The firepit and swing set is in a different location from the pictures (no longer backs to trees) and could use a scrub (kids had some pretty stained butts after a trip down the slide). The kitchen is thoughtfully / intelligently equipped, good knives, good cutting boards, good pans. Only thing missing was a set of tongs. The provided breakfast items: coffee, eggs, scones, bread for toast, strawberry jam, fruit and cereal were all exceptional and a lovely surprise. It's also worth noting how great the tap water is - it could be bottled! I wouldn't think twice about booking again - maybe without the kids next time...

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time in Lancaster county so much. Everything was so clean and neat. We really enjoyed the delicious treats that the owners provided and it was so nice to have those extra touches which made our stay even more perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful there and we loved it.
