Hi Gail thanks for your review and I apologise that our usually high standards were not met this time. We hire a professional cleaning company so the rooms should be very clean. Cobwebs can unfortunately happen over night while you are staying, or just before you arrive after we have done a room check. It is explained in our listing to contact the property 48hrs prior to arrival and we do send reminder emails so I apologise if you felt that way. Once we hit the quiet season in a few weeks time any maintenance that needs to be done will be done then. The room that you stayed in is our most used as it is our Budget Studio. Gosh there really is no pleasing some people. You had lovely views of the local mountains from the balcony in a completely refurbished unit that was only undertaken a couple of years ago. Parking is perfectly fine for the average driver. Cheers

Hi David thanks for the review. We received a phonecall well outside office hours suggesting that you were not left any towels after a scheduled room service and that this was unacceptable. I had to take some more up there late at night to find you had been left towels you just didn't see them there. Thanks again and all the best

The block that you stayed in was built in the 80's but has been re-painted within the last couple of years, the lower 2 blocks we completely re-modelled and painted less than a year ago. Hi,Thanks so much for the review we really appreciate it. Yes due to staff shortages and to save costs that we pass onto you we operate a virtual office which we have been doing for some time now, one good thing that came out of Covid I guess. As part of our sustainability we only change towels every 3 days and we have heated towel rails in all of the units to keep your towels warm and dry. It take a lot of water, chemicals and energy to clean and dry a towel and then have it delivered so this is a big saving to our environment and we would hope you find this to be a positive. We are listed as a "sustainable" business so this should be made obvious at the time of booking and we would hope that guests choose us for these reasons as we are all responsible for our environment. Hi,What a terrible inaccurate score of our property, we do not deserve this sort of score for the points you have made at all. Simply:YOU booked our ONLY room that does not have a view, if you wanted a room with a view why did you not book any one of the others. I'm guessing because you went on price alone and did not bother to look at any of the photo's or read any of the room descriptionsThe TV is on wheels so you can move it to any position you like, the chairs are not bolted to the ground so again, feel free to move them to where you feel comfortable. The toilet roll holder just wasn't clipped in properly, very easy fix, why not just mention it while you are here and I would have been happy to help you. I cannot see anything wrong with the shower head after testing it for myself and no-one else has complained since.Yes I gave you a polite courteous reminder just before check-out that the cleaning company would be here in 5-10mins, they charge 100hr for 2 of them so I do not want them waiting around for guests to leave. You were actually ready to go anyway. Again, I was polite and courteous so why the issue?Marking my property as "poor" completely unfair and inaccurate. We have several repeat guests in that particular unit which has been recently refurbished with all new flooring, double glazing throughout, new soft furnishings etc. It maybe basic and this is why it is called the "Budget Studio". For an extra 10 per night you could have had a superior room with a view, that was your choice. Thanks again Karen and all the best

Hi Angela,I'm so sorry that we did not meet your expectations. You booked the "Budget Studio" the name says it all, it's our budget room. We have 7 different room types so it is down to you to book the one that meets your needs and requirements. We list all of the rooms accurately and all of the photo's and descriptions are up-to-date. It is not the fault of the property that you booked this room which is actually clean and tidy and most things are new or near new including all of the flooring, bathroom and soft furnishings. We also list that we only offer a virtual office at the moment, this is also in our listing so if it was not suitable for you then you could have booked elsewhere. We cannot be there to hold your hand at the time of booking, you need to make sure what you are getting is what you want. We also send an email 2 day before arrival to remind guests to read our room descriptions etc to make sure the room type booked is suitable to requirementsVery disappointing that you have rated us so low through not fault of our own!I would recommend in future you choose the room type correctly rather than going on price alone!Thanks again and all the best

Hi Annette,Thanks for the review. The room that you booked comes with parking in our upper carpark and this is explained in the room details and also in emails that we send to you so it should not have come as any surprise. We also send another email out to guests 2 days before arriving to check all room details and if you would like to make a room change it might not be too late to do so. You could have unloaded your luggage first and then parked your car as per our instructions. There is plenty of tea, coffee and sugar in the pots on top of the microwave which in on top of the small fridge, sorry you missed that somehow. It's not possible to have electrical plugs in bathrooms in NZ from what I understand but there are plenty in the main room. Thanks agian

Thanks for the review Sam. I don't understand why you would be cold, there is an air sourced heat-pump/air-conditioner in the room which is incredibly efficient and warms up the entire apartment at ease, all you needed to do if you were cold was to turn the temperature up to the desired temperature and maybe the fan speed also. The instructions are in the room if you were not sure how to use it or you could have asked me at any point during your stay. The apartment has been fully renovated within the last couple of years, there might be the odd mark on the wall from previous guests but it is hardly "worn" infact far from it. The kitchen is only a year old, bathroom 2 years old, furniture including carpets and soft furnishings 3 years old, all painting of the walls and ceiling were only done a couple of years ago too.
