Sunkigt ställe med sjukt dålig parkering, bilar överallt på kvällstid och svårt att komma förbi. Sen låg det högst upp i en jobbig backe som var besvärlig både med bil (pga av alla parkerade bilar) och till fots

We would not recommend anyone to stay here!
This place did not meet our expectations at all. The photos of the rooms you see here are 100% opposite of the actual room we got - if you get room 82, ask to switch rooms immediately. We were supposed to get a Queen size bed but got a single bed and a pullout bed pushed together. Someone forgot a charger plugged in to one of the outlets in the room. The TV was from year 1980 and the amount of spider web in the ceiling would make a sweater if you would want one. The toilet did not work properly and the smell in the room suggested that it used to be a storage space for ski gear. We arrived at 7pm and went down to the reception at 7:20pm to ask if possible to switch rooms, but it was closed 40 minutes before the time stated (8pm) on the website. The girl checking us in, was a bit in a hurry. We decided not to stay and made a booking at another place. We came back the following morning to inform them about our experience but they just informed us that we should have called the “night staff” but since we are tourists in NZ for a short period, we don't have a NZ phone number. Other than that, they were not interested in helping us and we will warn our family and friends, if they ever are visiting Queenstown, not to stay here - And we don’t recommend anyone staying here!!

Bra budgetalternativ för Queenstown.
Högt upp i Queenstown med bra utsikt och med trevligt frukost och barhäng låg Reavers lodge. Slitet men prisvärt.

Undvik om du kan, alldeles för slitet
Undvik hotellet om möjligt. Det ligger otillgängligt till, en väldigt krävande backe upp till hotell, extremt lyhört, väldigt störande ljud från gäster och diskrum och tvättrum, extremt trångt i rummet.. Extremt trångt i badrum. Wifi fungerar bara i receptionen. Hotellet skriver att de har wifi men det stämmer egentligen inte. Falsk marknadsföring. Flera trappor, ingen hiss. Det enda som var bra med hotellet var frukosten och gratis parkering.

Slitet och ofräscht . Rummet stämde inte överens med bilderna vid bokningen. Frukosten som ingick i boendet var enkel men ok. Bra att det fanns köjsutrustning för egen matlagning

Utsikt
Ligger en bit utanför och uppför en brant backe vilket ger en mycketfin utsikt. Det ny öppnade café/bar som finns i anslutning har mycket trevlig personal.

I did not like (1) Small room with congested space (2) Not very clean (3) Bathroom is not very good (4) Less light in the room I liked (1) Best value for money. With this small amount of money the service they provided was awesome (2) Breakfast was superb. I am amazed that they gave us so much (unlimited bread, milk, verities of corn flakes, coffee etc.) with so little money

Great staff & unexpected breakfast & coffee. Best value I could find in overpriced Queenstown. Shame about inconsiderate noisy guests coming in till early hours & talking loudly while walking all though building & even some standing outside rooms talking on telephone at 1am = poor nights sleep.

Very good and affordable option. Walkable distance to town centre and main attractions. Friendly staff. Yes it is not a 5 star hotel and does not have something you will find in 5 stars therefore the price is not any close to that. Very much worth every cent you pay. Would definetely stay again.

My stay was good ..if I was to complain about anything it would be the room above us is nosey when they walk around and the parking is crap.. hard to get a park if your not early enough ..other than that it was good and very reasonably priced

Das Hostel war in einer ruhigen Umgebung und trotzdem war alles in Queenstown gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung war aber allerdings nicht ganz so toll; ein Loch in der Wand, nur ein Stuhl in einem 3-Bett Zimmer und ein sehr enges Bad. Die Leichtbauwände in zumindest unserem Zimmer haben leider nicht annähernd vor dem Lärm der anderen Gäste geschützt. Auch nachts und frühmorgens wird man von dem Duschen, den Weckern und dem Tasche packen der anderen Gäste geweckt. Das Personal war zwar freundlich aber recht unmotiviert, der Check-in und Check-out war aber sehr unkompliziert.

Fair value for the property. Queenstown ‘cultural’ hub and lakefront are a 20 min. walk away. Leave vehicle parked at Reavers to avoid downtown parking hassles. Save energy for the final 150 m steep uphill walk to this hotel.

Check-in was easy, but immediately noticed a less than pleasant odour in the room and heard others commenting on their rooms too. I traced the problem to the drains and eased the situation with a few kettles of boiling water down the drains in the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Cooking facilities are small with a two ring plug-in hob in the cupboard. I needed to clean it before use and only one ring really worked. As the room rate was more expensive than many of my previous stays on my trip around South Island, several of which had been entire houses it seemed that this stay was pretty poor value for money. It's also at the top of a very steep hill so consider that if your fitness level is not compatible.

disappointed. Not hygienic at all. i didn't expected this at all and would not come again and wont recommend to use this website at all. The heater didn't worked at all and bedsheets and blankets are very dirty, even though washrooms are very bad. even management didn't fixed heater even though we complained about it.

Stayed in a loft room as that was all available, little bit of a struggle to climb up into bed and not a lot of head space. Maybe more appropriate for the younger generation. Parking was a bit of hit and miss. Great continental breakfast provided.

For young travellers
Located on a very steep hill, I'd recommend this for young travellers by car. Close enough to the cbd, this is a hostel type of accommodation with a very lovely view. My room was definitely not the most comfortable as the bed was up a wobbly stair and it was a bit hard to get into as the ceiling is extremely low. The place wasn't greatly cleaned and the carpet definitely needs an update but for a few days it's doable.

Had a great time, but honestly didn't spend a whole lot of time in the lodge. It was clean and comfortable and perfectly served its purpose. However, the walls are *paper thin*, so I'd recommend requesting a room on the top floor so you don't wake up in the middle of the night to hear your upstairs neighbours going at it (hypothetical of course). Other than that, no real complaints other than a couple of hooks in the bathroom for towels would have been nice, but nothing major!

Reavers Lodge is a bustling, glorified hostel just a few blocks from the downtown tourist zone. (The last couple of blocks are a little steep but it gives you a good view of the townsite and valley.) The free continental breakfast is fine and there is a great coffee machine. The rooms are adequate if a little worn. Most of our fellow travelers were in their 20s but there were also many families.

Absolutely the worst accommodation i have ever experienced in the 20 years i have been coming to NZ. The rooms are dirty, dark, noisy and the rugs are all stained. Fixtures in bathrooms are rusted. Water was off when we were there. Dont be fooled when they say breakfast included. Toast, cereal and coffee is what is included. Never again in this overpriced disgusting place!

It was a relaxed place and would have enjoyed our stay if it had not been for our room being double charged and management absolutely refusing to reply to our request to correct this issue in any way. Incredibly disappointing.
