Dear Rhiannonthanks for staying with us and for your kind reviewBeing located on a farm in the countryside, flies are part of the natural inhabitants. Actually they don't bother us the whole year, but during those last days of the Icelandic summer, where the days are still warm but the nights are cool, those little buggers tend to seek a lot to get inside. In addition, we've been sooooo lucky in the past 2 weeks, that we've had unusually high temperatures, which has forced us to keep doors and windows a lot more open, in order to let in fresh air and winds, which has made it even easier for them to sneek inside. We understand that this can be annoying, but trust me, we're doing our best trying to chase them out with the vacuum and various other means, but it seems impossible to get rid of them all. As to the road, it is good that you mention it because many are not aware of the new road just outside of Hella. It may be a couple km longer, but by far a smoother drive. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and we hope to see you again some time later

We are sorry about the misunderstanding regarding the laundry facilities, but some of our apartments actually do have wash machines (those with 3 sgl beds only), but not the one in which you stayed. We will make sure to update the description on expedia to reflect this more accurate. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip
