The lodge is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta, GA, and about 1 hour from downtown Chattanooga, TN. It's a few miles from Carter's Lake, which is famous for its amazing fishing and stunning scenery.

The space
Welcome to your perfect mountain getaway! Nestled at the top of a mountain near Carters Lake in Ranger, Georgia, our recently remodeled 2-story lodge features three inviting bedrooms with queen-sized beds. One bedroom includes a private en-suite bathroom, while two additional bathrooms are located in the common areas.
The main level is filled with natural light from large windows that wrap around the dining and living areas, offering stunning views.
Step outside onto the two-level deck that half-circles the house and take in the magnificent view of the mountains. You’ll also find a cozy seating area with an L-shaped couch, patio lights and additional seating. Inside, you'll enjoy a beautiful blend of rustic charm and modern décor, with a fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances.
For entertainment, the terrace level lounge area offers a pool table, a large-screen TV, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. We can't wait to welcome you!
TRASH REMOVAL: Remember, you are in the mountains, so trash must not be kept outside to avoid wildlife from being attracted to the home. For that reason, there is no trash service at the home. All trash must be bagged and taken down to the dumpster near the security gate at Talking Rock Creek. If you're coming down the mountain towards the gate, go past the pool area on your RIGHT, drive slowly, and you will see a group of RVs/boats parked on your LEFT. It's the next gravel road on your LEFT. Pull in and you will see the dumpsters on the RIGHT.
ACCESSING THE PROPERTY: Once you pass through the Talking Rock Creek gate, the drive to the house is about 2 miles. The road is narrow and winding, with just enough space for two cars to pass. For your comfort, we recommend arriving before dark, as driving at night can feel a bit unsettling. You may also encounter wildlife along the way, so please drive slowly and with caution.

Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, which is about 31 miles away, offers fascinating exhibits on minerals, fossils, and more.
River Street Tavern in Ellijay is about 19 miles away and offers live music and local brews.
Engelheim Vineyards, also in Ellijay and about 11 miles from the lake, is a lovely spot for wine tastings and tours.
There are also some great hiking trails, like the Oak Ridge Nature Trail, which provide scenic views of the lake.
And of course, Carters Lake itself is known for excellent fishing opportunities, with species like bass, crappie, and catfish.
Guest access
You will have access to the property from the backyard lower-level patio from the walkway path. For added security, the door in the property is equipped with a digital lock, and a unique code is provided for every booking. Guests will be given a code to enter at the time of booking in the welcome letter, and a reminder message sent to the guest 60 minutes before the 4PM check-in time unless an early check-in is approved. Please be sure to pull the entry door closed upon departure.
Other things to note
The host may conduct a random identity verification to protect both the host and guest from identity theft and illegal activities. If selected, you’ll receive a link to our portal. There is no cost to you, and the process takes less than five minutes, so please complete it as soon as possible when requested before your arrival.
Games, puzzles, books, and children's toys are located on the shelf in the living room.
For any guest booking with an initial duration of less than one month, if the guest wishes to extend their stay beyond one month, the Host requires the creation of a new booking rather than altering the existing reservation. Each subsequent monthly extension will also require a new booking. Guests extending their stay beyond one month must also schedule a housekeeping visit within the first week of each new monthly booking, which is included in their new reservation.
For initial bookings exceeding 35 nights, a mid-stay cleaning fee will be applied and collected through the platform resolution center monthly. This is necessary to maintain the property in the advertised condition. The mid-term cleaning includes housekeeping for all the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Host-provided color linens are the guests' responsibility to launder, but our team will make the beds if the linens have been washed before our housekeeping team's arrival. The cleaning can be scheduled at your convenience, and your presence is not required for it to take place.
