“I booked a single room with twin bed but upgraded to a double bed and got a better room. The room itself was quite dark, except for first thing in the morning when the sun lit up the room and the bathroom, which was nice. The bedroom had only one central light (quite dark) and one bedside light, with no lighting over by the desk where the kettle/tea/coffee were, which was a little awkward. “The hotel and lake setting is beautiful. The spa is too expensive when you are limited to only two hours when it is extremely quiet.”

“I and the wife spend a weekend away for out anniversary to walk around some of lovely Yorkshire. The staff at the Gamekeepers are incredible proud of their establishment, they were always kind courteous and helpful. Special compliments for Dan, he was always helpful communitive and friendly. “Under julem var servicen vad det gäller tillgång till mat emellan måltider obefintlig. Man hade missat att meddela köket om vår bokning av måltid på juldagskvällen. Även att vi skulle anlända mitt på dagen direkt fr flyget. Barpersonal visade en ifrågasättande attityd när vi hänvisades dit av receptionen. Vilka är ni?? Vi har slut på mat nu. Det finns ingenting. “Det var med sorg jag lämnade detta hotell efter så kort vistelse. Ett i det närmaste perfekt hotell med vacker arkitektur och inredning, trevlig och hjälpsam personal (ordnade t.ex. en frukostpåse åt mig när jag behövde lämna hotellet tidigt), samt fullt med bekvämligheter. Hoppas kunna komma tillbaka hit någon gång!”

“The room was tidy and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived early and placed our case in the room when if was ready. My wife really enjoyed the spa which is located a short walk across the road from the hotel. We would have preferred an self service open buffet style continental breakfast”
