“A hidden paradise hidden at the end of a bumpy dirt road! Even more beautiful than the pictures show! Spacious and modern rooms that were kept meticulously clean during our two-night stay, kind and service-oriented personnel, very good food on an extensive menu with very reasonable prices! The breakfast was the best Sri Lankan breakfast we had on our 14-day journey with generous servings that were cooked to perfection!
We also tried the Spa that was located 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from Ananya...

“This was one of our favorite places during our trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are huge, very clean and everything seems really new.
The owner is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is great with a great view of the lagoon. If you like birds we saw both eagles and peacocks during our stay here.
You are around a 5 min walk from the beach and besides the restaurant on the property there are some good restaurants around.”

“Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure was fantastic.
Very polite, courteous & extremely helpful.
Catered for all our needs.
We booked this place last minute due to having to change our original plan (Kandy & Ella) because of the recent Cyclone.
Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge.
It is so easy to get out & about, the staff will order Tuk Tuks or Taxis for you or if you feel...

“This resort is situated off the beaten track. It was just what we were looking for. The manager was friendly and did every to make our stay there enjoyable. Like any guest house or resort if you go when there are fewer guests please remember to order your food for the evening at breakfast before the chef goes to market. ”

There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. “Very nice hosts, super service minded! The house is close to the Dickwella beach, on the opposite side of the main road. 2 miles away is the awesome surf beach Hirikitya. Our room was spacious with a large new bathroom and efficient AC. If you like Sri Lankan food, ask to swap the continental breakfast to Sri Lankan! The house can be a bit tricky to find, look for a sign after the ATM.”

“Very nice and very quiet chalet on a deserted beach. The location is literally on the beach. Ideal if you want tranquility. Just the sound of the waves! Our host was excellent and helped us with information we needed. There is a good restaurant next door and the Waves will provide good dinners at reasonable cost if you give them warning (as everything is freshly cooked). ”

"Frukosten hade inte kylda frukter trots att jag sa till om det. Man kunde inte beställa vin utan bara öl vilket är ett minus. Personalen var trevliga men långsamma med att leverera handdukar vid incheckning, fick vänta 30 min på det.
Annars hade rummet AC och havsutsikt vilket uppskattades. "
