âThe internet was weak, and the property is showing its age but the staff was amazing, and the room was quiet. The hallway had a few dips in it and made you feel a bit unsteady.â
âIt was definitely higher class then most hotels nearby. However, it does suck that there is a cemetery right beside it; so, depending on the room that's the view you get. Also, I thought it was supposed to have a pool, but I wasn't able to locate it.â
âMy only criticism is of Expedia for charging me an extra 42.00 because I made the reservation and needed to change it by one day. Because of this I wonât be using Expedia for any bookings from now on , so enjoy the 43 bucks.â
âThe only reason for my stay is that it was night and I couldn't see the road in the thunderstorm. If there hadn't been a power outage, I would have chosen one of the other hotels next door. After checking in, I noticed this property used to belong to another company. It has not been renovated at all. The carpets are nasty. While the sheets and towels are dingy and some have stains, they did smell clean so at least they arĂš trying.
I hope someone will see this and help the owners bring this...
âAs with any historic hotel, one should not expect everything to be shiny and perfect. That being said, this hotel is pretty well maintained, and its charm makes up for the cracks in the walls. The location canât be beat! Our room was quite comfortable with a lovely view overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. â
