“I can't describe the stench of this hotel. It smelled like 50 years of cigarettes smoked indoors mixed with weed, urine and stale beer. Restaurant is closed for renos so no free breakfast (not that I'd even want to eat anything that came from here). Loud TVs, dogs barking. There are holes in the wall, doors with chipping around the locks like they're were being broken into. Missing ceiling tiles. A random bed leaning up against the wall in the hall. Listerine bottle sitting outside someone's...

“No elevator; gym was underwhelming; juice at breakfast was watered down, sausage was dry, and the waffle iron desperately needed a proper cleaning, everything else was good; vending machines were half empty; creepy vibes felt like a horror movie; toilet and bathtub were dirty and bathroom door was broken as if the door was kicked in; A/C didn’t work properly, it didn’t read temperature of room properly so we were roasting and had to open the windows all night. Staff were polite.”

“The four of us very much enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Presque Isle. Great rooms, fine breakfast and a very friendly welcoming staff. We will definately stay again should we ever be passing through.”

“This hotel is an oasis of civilization in rural Maine. It is attractive, comfortable and clean. You will need a car in Presque Isle, or pay the sole taxi $35 each way to and from the airport.”

“This small motel was very clean and the gentleman at the office was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable. My room showed a few signs of wear and tear (mismatched towels, a couple with holes in them; several areas where the bathroom walls were very scraped up), but these did not affect the quality of my stay. One concern I had was that there was only a deadbolt lock on the door, no secondary lock such as a chain lock.”

“It seems impossible to get a receipt for my stay. This is crazy.”

“👍”

“This is a good place to stay crossing the border. It was a self check in and they left the keys in the door. The beds were unbelievably hard. Walls were super thin. Carpets on the floor which made me feel like they were not as clean. The coffee maker was in the bathroom!! The heat pump didn’t work and we had to use a space heater.”

“Comfy bed breakfast was excellent easy location good parking”

“Nice quiet place and had everything for a nice stay.”

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin. The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...

“Clean, fun and the Lake was amazing!”

“This is the best cabin! It's amazing, you won't regret it. The host was super communicative and everything was perfect (including the fires and the sunset). The cabin was very clean, cozy, the quilts were clean and soft. We also used the laundry. The kitchen was stocked with supplies. We loved it. We are even considering booking a week next summer. don't miss it!”
