“As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not”

“The room and bathroom smelt very strongly of cigarettes. We could not have a shower as the hot water made the smell even stronger. There was also food on the carpet from previous guest so appeared the room had not been cleaned properly. Wallpaper was peeling off next to the bed. Had we of been staying any longer than one night then we have changed hotels. The pictures online are definitely outdated.”

“Staff on checking in were polite and dhowed us toom and facilities. Room was small , clean but personally it wasnt eorth the price we were charged. Booked breakfast but was informed it wasn't available until 8.30am and ee had to leave earlier than that do even thought id osud extra gor breakfast and fid inform thrn upon arrival, we werent offered reductions.”

“The place is a little outdated, but we expected that from the pictures. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it's clean, the beds are firm (a bit too firm for my liking, but my husband loved them!). We had a family room, and it was very spacious, there was a king size bed for us and two proper single beds for the kids. All in all very good value for your money!”

“Stayed in an annexe room that was a good size, comfortable double bed with lovely soft pillows. Good sized TV. A lot of noisy doors from nearby rooms as walls appear to be the egg box type. Many strange marks on the carpet in the room. Bathroom was old fashioned with a poor quality shower. Breakfast wasn’t the best, fruit and cereals with freshly prepared hot food. “Perfekt”

“The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and in a fab location very central to Holmfirth. We were a little worried that it would be a little too noisy with it being above a pub, which would have been our own fault for booking a room over a pub! However, we didn't get in ourselves until around 11.30pm and the noise soon stopped after that. The breakfast was lovely, served in a nice, relaxed room above the bar. Holmfirth itself was really nice with nice shops, cafes, daytime bars, cobbled...

“Just stayed at the E&C for an overnight in Holmfirth. Room was spot on no issues really, a little dusty in places but nothing to worry about. We enjoyed our stay in the village and the pub was perfectly located with lovely little bars just down the road. We had breakfast too and this was lovely, we were asked what time we would like it as it's all cooked fresh, at 9:30 it was there beautifully cooked, perfect.
