“Check in was seamless! We were arriving on motorcycles a bit earlier than the scheduled check-in time and texted the property to see what was possible, and the property manager was very generous and accommodating. She had the cleaning staff clean our room next so that by the time we arrived it would be ready. Room was modern and spotless, felt like a European aparthotel type place. VERY comfy bed, we even peeked at the mattress brand and took a picture because we might replace our home mattress...

“What a wonderful place!!! Our family of 4 (13 yrs and 10yrs) loved staying at this resort! So much to do. Free activities along with extra for a bit extra. Had BBQ dinner buffet served by the owner of the resort. Very friendly staff and the lodge we stayed in was very clean. Beach is great for all ages and free kayaks and canoes were the cherry on top. “Perfect for a solo retreat! I needed some relaxing time alone in the woods (in a beautiful maple forest, no less), but still wanted to be somewhat close to civilization, and this was the spot! I got such refreshing, restful sleep every night in this absolutely quiet, tiny (but airy) playhouse of a cottage, thanks to the super cozy and comfy bed! It was all just so sweet—even if, as I did, you just want to hang out and read as you listen to the rain all day. Grand Marais is only eighteen minutes...

“My stay was wonderful. It was so dark at night and so quiet. I saw the Northern Lights and a shooting star while sitting on the deck. The cabin was very clean, neat and cozy. The bathroom was clean and I was happy to find out that it had lights. It was close to town but felt like it was miles away. I would definitely recommend staying here.”
