“Room was clean. Staff were kind. Restaurant was surprisingly great. Lounge was closed on our visit. Breakfast was not good; food was dry and coffee was weak. Value of the room was great.”

“Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. Minimal amenities. The hotel restaurant had a limited and very underwhelming menu.”

“Met our expectations. The room was clean and it looked like the hotel had been recently updated”

“The property has potential, apparently they are under new management and I hope they do some room improvements. Our bathroom was scary…. Needs 100% remodel. The ceiling separating from the wall, the shower floor had been painted and was peeling bad, the lighting in the bathroom was very dark. The carpet in the main room was questionable, definitely needs replacing. I would not walk barefoot on it. The lobby area and front desk was good. Very nice staff working here… they deserve a more...

“Nice but under construction. Nice staff”

“The front desk staff did not represent people who are in customer service. The gentleman who checked us out on Sunday acted like he was being inconvenienced. Never smiled, nor asked how our stay was, and when I asked for a receipt, he kept looking for several minutes and finally I said I booked through Expedia. He very gruffly said, “ there are steps you have to go through”. They need better training. This was not typical of La Quinta where I have stayed.”

“Very clean and neat .”

“La alberca estaba fuera de servicio y al hacer el check out no había nadie en el lobby.”

“Check in had problems and I had to come back 30 min later so that someone could fix it ( I was checking into 4:00 pm. Then, after o got to the room, I went to tell the night manager I had a leak in the bathroom and the floor had a puddle. He said I’d have to wait 30 or 45 min until the maintenance guy came in to get it fixed. I explained I needed to shower and get to an engagement and asked for another room. He said they were booked. I asked is everyone had already checked in since it...

“Everything was as good as home except for my bed. I would like to have had a more comfortable bed so my body would have been more relaxed.”

“I booked this motel because it was one of the few options Hotels.com gave me, but when I got to Carlsbad I found alot more places to stay at lower prices-was not happy! I paied about 150 dollars/night for this place, and I'm not sure why it's so expensive.... I was there on a Friday and Saturday, and perhaps that's why, but I will definitely look harder if I ever return to Carlsbad. It's an ok place to stay, run down and a bit "musty", but the room was clean and the fridge/microwave worked fine....
