“The host was very nice and spoke good English. Our room was cramped and somewhat dated. The toilet was separate from shower area and both doors had to be closed to navigate around the bed. Breakfast was great. There was a close-by restaurant where we had a dinner. It was really very nice for the price!”

“My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! “There were eight adult family members on vacation. The property is absolutely amazing. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the only sounds you hear are the sheep in the dry moat and the birds that inhabit the property. Though there is no air conditioning in the home, the temperatures were very manageable with the windows open. Chartres is a charming town, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris....

“Hotell med hög standard. Trevlig rum med bra säng och badrum. Mycket bra service i receptionen. Frukosten var OK. Ligger nära Katedralen och tågstationen. Bilparkering finns i närheten, en bit att gå men man kan snabbparkera precis utanför för att lasta på och av. ”

“Campanile-hotellen fungerar jättebra för bilburna resenärer. De har lite olika skick och utformning men parkeringsplatsen, vattenkokaren, frukosten och restaurang som är öppen på kvällen finns och det är bra. Det vore bra om liknande hotellkedja fanns i Sverige. Priser generellt under 1000 kr. Hyfsad basservice, man vet vad man får.
