“Very pleasant stay. Staff were exceptionally attentive. Both our room and kids (teens) room were very comfortable and the food was great. Kids enjoyed the amenities. We especially appreciated Faye who drove us to several places and provided great guidance, and helped with crossing the border. Also Sarr who shared some invigorating tea. Next time we’ll stay longer and go fishing! ”

“Really great experience, but the roads to get there from Dakar is in bad conditions. We did not know what to expect from a tent lodge and where suprised to find this high standard in the "tents" och super food. I our opinion it was a more comfortable stay in the tent (with king-size bed and AC) then the hotels in Dakar. Wish that we would have stayed at least one night more.”

“We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury"...
