“The staff was courteous and professional. My room was cleaned daily by the very sweet Paulina who didn't hesitate in accommodating me.However,there was one incident I experience in the cafe on 2/13 around 3 pm. The young lady served me, took it unpon her self to keep my 30 cedis. It was an incident that you don't know- what just happen. I like The Roots and I would stat again. ”

“Didn’t meet our expectations at all. Not worth the price! No functional standby generators. Upon arrival, the room wasn’t well cleaned, same for the bathroom. There were mosquitoes in the room as well. The pool a dirty, looks like the water hadn’t been changed in a long time. We suffered power outages at least 4 times and we had to just go out rather than stay in the heat. The annoying thing is, there was no communication whatsoever from the staff or hotel management. “Customers service very poor apart from the housekeeping, it was fully booked at the breakfast room and very few staff to attend to customers. As a 5star hotel they need to modernize their rooms. The only thing I loved most was the beach. For me Serena in Goma is still the number one customers service/ modern hotel in Africa/Europe no matter you are female traveling alone or with family”
