“The cabin was awesome. Beds were great and comfortable. The Wi-Fi wasn’t good, so don’t expect to be able to work on line. A very nice grill was available but filthy as were the utensils to use it. We weren’t aware that the restaurant isn’t open Monday through Thursday. Thus you need a find a place to go and eat. A microwave was available and a coffee pot with enough coffee for two pots. No plates, or plastic wear available and no stove. The office was completely closed for our two day stay....

“This was advertised as "rustic" but was actually beyond rough. Dirty and in disrepair. Unsafe and unsanitary. Missing smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. Dust and grime built up in the vents and windowsills. Black mold on the walls and ceilings. Messaged with the host ahead of time and was mislead on the state of this accomodation. Found it was totally uninhabitable. Took photos and reported to VRBO and was fully refunded by the platform based on those pics alone. ”

“We checked in. Walking into the room there is a strong odor. There is no soap, towels, toilet paper and I look at the beds… they are rumpled and there are pillow cases missing. There’s also pee in the toilet.I passed a woman on the way to the desk and she gave me a number for “Ila” to text who is the manager. I texted-no answer. I walked to the desk and wait for about 5-10 minutes and then go into the restaurant where I learned Ila is who checked me in. I explain what happened and asked for her...

“Overall, we really loved our stay! We rolled up and could instantly tell that the house is brand new. It's a super cute place and well set up. The country sky views of the sunrise and sunset are excellent. We attended a wedding in Rosebush and were just 9 minutes away from the event so it was perfect. The only reason I'm giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the hot water was extremely sulfur-smelling. It wasn't a huge problem for us and our short stay, but would have been more of an issue...

“The riverside cabin was lovely. King sized bed, with en-suite jacuzzi tub. Great porch for relaxing and watching the water go by. On-site restaurant Friday-Sunday, with good food and outdoor seating on the river.The only issue we really had was surrounding the check-in process. The listing does not specify that VRBO is holding funds for the transaction, but you actually have to pay the resort directly upon arrival, which caused a bit of friction upon check-in.”

The house was clean and well-maintained. However, we do wish there had been an additional bathroom, as it would have made our stay more comfortable”

“This place is perfect! Modern, clean, quiet, spacious, nice grills, fire pit, everything you need for a perfect getaway. Not too far from stores and things to do, but far enough to not feel like you are in town. And being on a lake without weeds near the dock was great - wonderful fishing. We also enjoyed riding our side by side in the Gladwin State trails that are less than a mile away (entrance directly across from the road to the clubhouse, beach, etc sign down the road).
