“We booked this onsen hotel for two nights after being told by email that we could reserve a private onsen upon check-in for 5,000 yen. However, when we arrived, we were informed that no private baths were available. Since I have three medium-sized tattoos that can’t be covered with bandages, we couldn’t use the public onsen and ended up spending most of our time in the room doing laundry instead. I did use the small bathtub in our room, but it definitely wasn’t the relaxing onsen experience we...

“We had a great time at this nice but slightly outdated hotel. Needs renovations. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. There’s nothing nearby so recommend to get the breakfast/dinner package. Onsen was lovely. We stayed two nights to go up the mountain and do some hiking and it was perfect for that as it’s 10 min walk from the ropeway.”

“Fantastic place dont forget to bring food no restaurant in Asahidake.”

“The shower water is very weak and not hot enough, facilities are very old. Dinner quality is bad, not many choices and too crowded.”

“Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August...

“The staff are friendly and helpful”

“The hotel was in bad condition, ants and other bugs everywhere in the room. The staff used the fact that we were tired to overcharge us. The facilities were 15 years older than they look in the pictures where they already look old.”
