“Okay so the thing you have to understand is that the Kenricia (a historic hotel) is under extensive renovations, presently the elevator was not functioning and few rooms were available. It is also a very old building with creeky tall staircase, construction sites, boarded off sections and the historic scent of the bygone smoking in doors era. “Awful, don’t stay here. The room was not at all as advertised more like the worst university dorm room you could imagine. There was one tiny ‘double’ bed that had no springs left in it, cigarette burns in the duvet and burns/holes in the sheet covering whatever was under the bed. The floor sloped towards the bathroom and the floor was dirty, crunchy underfoot. The bathroom was awful the shower barely worked and leaked over the floor, the shower mat was falling apart. “Unfortunately, this place was a tremendous disappointment. It’s under renovations - so no amenities. It really needs to be gutted! The carpet throughout is filthy- not just dirty! From a Travel Lodge by Wyndham, we expected way better! My advice is hit the gas if this place comes into view…”
