“We stayed in the Chickadee cabin. It is a pretty new cabin and very nicely appointed kitchen. However, the description on Expedia is a bit off. It says it’s a “lake view” cabin. It is not. It’s a short walk to the lake. It also said it had a queen bed, but it has a queen bed in the bedroom plus a twin bunk bed in the hallway and two twin mattresses in the loft, so basically it can sleep six people. “We have stayed at Cove Point Lodge many times over the past 10 years. Usually we stay in one of the cabins but the prices have increased so much and coming from Canada it's an additional expense. This time we stayed in a room at the lodge, while the room was very spacious, with a sofa and a balcony, it seemed a bit run down. The screen on the patio door was taped up and falling off. The bathroom mirror was filthy and streaked, the paint was chipping off the wall in places. The sink was...

“Was a little overpriced for what was offered. Air conditioner was very noisy. It turned off and on frequently making it hard to sleep. Great shower though and nice staff. Located directly across from C-store for morning coffee.”

“Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.”

“We had a great experience at the Stay Inn Ely. It was clean and our room was nice. It’s conveniently close to down town Ely and has easy access parking. The kitchen was well equipped and had coffee to make every morning. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!”

“The unit was as advertised: 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a common room and kitchen. It was quiet. The kitchen was well supplied. The decor was thoughtful and updated. Overall excellent.”
