“This cabin was REALLY out of the way. Tucked way back in the woods on top of Bankhead nature preserve. We saw lots of deer tracks all over the property. It has a hudge pond but I wouldn't recommend trying to fish in it. It is vary shallow and has alot of grass and debre in it. But, if you'r looking to get away from everyone and everything this is the place to go. It is, in my words the perfectlt placed for a writer to gather there thoughts and organize ideas. It's definitely a place to escape...

“My wife and I were in town for family business. We have many family members in the region, and we wanted to stay far off the grid. I’m glad we did. No phone, no cable, no nothing. Absolutely fantastic! We plan to bring our children on the next trip in about 8 months. This place is #1 on the list for my wife and I. “We stayed a couple of nights . The kitchen is well stocked and the house was very comfortable .They had a great grill and chopped wood for the fire ring . We enjoyed the games and fishing from the dock . The pool and nature trail were very nice also. Only regret was only getting to stay 2 nights . My grand daughter said she wanted to live there forever lol . We also drove to Dismals Canyon and Rattlesnake Saloon . Grocery store was very close by ”

Our hostess Kellie had decorated the already gorgeous cabin for the Holidays and there are too many amenities to mention. “The location was quiet and peaceful. The dock was nice but we had to clean it off. There was seagrass, dog food, and dried mud. The sunset was beautiful but there was no hammock and we had to clean dog poop out of the yard. There were also issues with upstairs bathroom. Toilet seat was broken and we had to unclog the shower drain and toilet. ”

“Loved our stay here! There was a major frisbee dog event in Decatur that we traveled from Minnesota for. If this event comes back to the area again, we’ll definitely be looking to book this VRBO location again. It was perfect for our family! Stayed here very comfortably with me, my wife, mother in law, our toddler; and our dogs! Plenty of space for us to set our kennels up for the dogs. We even got a pickle ball set at the dog event in the players pack that we were able to use at the property!...

“Had an eschew with the toilet call the front dest they where down there less than 3 min fixed it right up. Very very nice owner. Help us in a lot of ways. We had an emergency had to leave early they did not hesitate gave us our money back. That’s what good people do. I would say Good place to stay.
