“Loved this place for the swimming pool and the bar and the restaurant. However, check-in and check-out took way too long and several mistakes were made. The staff had no idea which rooms we had booked and when ckecking out they mixed up our restaurant bills, among other things. Doesn't sound like such a huge problems but it took quite some time to sort everytning out. This would be the only thing that the hotel needs to improve.”

“If you're looking for modern conveniences like air conditioning, wifi, great service, and nice rooms, this is Blantyre's best hotel by far. The staff was incredible - it made me realize that Malawi can have a real five star tourism industry if it wants to. Mwai at the front desk is exceptional, as is the manager of the breakfast buffet (short young Malawian woman) and all of the concierge, cleaning, restaurant, and garage staff. “I always feel comfortable and well cared for at Chinyonga House. I will return there each time I visit Malawi. The staff is very nice and can help you arrange transportation. The dining area can accommodate business partners or friends if you would like to invite someone to diner. It is very close to the Museum of Malawi and regional shopping districts. The guest house is also near a bus stop if you would like to visit the Malawi University of Science and Technology. ”

“Ok but tired. Called a beach resort but rooms are a long way from the lake and you can’t see it. Beach not maintained as other local properties do and no amenities eg seats/loungers. ”

“As previous reviews indicate, this is a wonderful setting, rivalling a Greek Island or even the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Beautiful view and accommodations. Very warm and friendly staff. Good food with many choices. Good hot water even with Solar. Would have liked internet access in the room and perhaps a little more attention to timely food delivery. We had a delightful stay!”
