“Why is this place so expensive? It is a very typical older hotel and should be $70-90 per night, not $170.
I should have stopped in Columbia or continued on to Kirksville.
It is clean, with friendly staff and the breakfast was fine but the price is more appropriate for a much more deluxe place.”

“A really nice man, I believe the owner, checked me in. I didn’t see any staff after that. It was quiet and convenient for my stay on my Friends and Family Tour ‘26. I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal but I was pleasantly surprised at the comfortable bed and the clean room. A bonus, there’s a great coffee shop called Mia’s in Shelbina. It’s in the grocery store with a drive up.”

“Sorry to say but this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. My wife and I were passing through on our way home from vacation and had some business in a nearby town that had no hotels. We were just looking for a quick place to sleep for the night. Hotels showed a 7 rating so didn't think it would be this bad. We walked in and could tell that the room was not maintained or cleaned. There was build up of dust everywhere. There was hair on the sheets pillow cases and all over the shower. We...

“This was such an outstanding stay for us. The home and property were very clean, well organized, amazing location, very peaceful! We will definitely be looking forward to staying here again when we are in town which is about twice a year. The host, Scott, was excellent as well! He was very friendly, kind, attentive and very prompt on his responses while communicating with him. This was an ALL AROUND GREAT EXPERIENCE! Thank you Scott! I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone and...
