“We had checked ahead about checking in early , sound”

“Security outside doors were propped open and did not lock. Carpeting and stairs on hallways was dirty not vacuumed, room smelt musty went to open up window to get fresh air no screens on the windows. There were three dogs and dog kennels in a trailer outside our room that 3 dogs barked all night called front desk to complain. Nothing was done. There was one light blanket besides a sheet on the bed went to look in the closet for extra blanket and was none.”

“I get that it's a small town dated hotel. Looks like they have tried doing updates to the place. But not clean at all. Mud on the floor, spots of crap on bathroom wall, didn't even want to shower since the dirt stains, can't confirm if bedbugs but looked like a few small dead bugs on sheets. And pubic hairs... wondered if sheets even get washed. Wife went to get some fresh blankets to sleep on, the older lady was really rude I guess. Musty smell, allergies are terrible now today. Doubt...

“The house was very clean and well equipped. Its a comfortable place to stay and they have clear directions and expectations in the guidebook and signage. We will definitely use or recommend this space for future trips to Brookings.”

“My wife and I travel a lot and this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. So bad that we checked in, dropped our bags and started looking for a different hotel. Musty smell, air conditioner was kicking out foul air. No tv…..in fact at the front desk was a hand written sign that read “we apology no tv”. Desk attendant struggled with English. We checked into another hotel within the hour and the desk attendant there told us that the Pipestone Inn had been shut down by the local health...
